Grab question?

so first off i spin LEFT. and when you spin left a mute grab would be grabbing my left ski with my right hand. but when i try i for some reason use my left arm to grab my right ski. is this still a mute grab? or something different?

On a related note, what's a push mute? I feel like I've heard that somewhere, but I'm not sure. Let me know if I just dreamed that, and I look like a dumbass.

i feel like push mute is real, is it when you grab say right hand to right ski and then push it over like a mute?? ive seen that before and dont know what it is.

yea i always thought a push mute was right hand to right ski and left to left. but okay i've heard the people talking during like the X-Games, and they say that the mute grab helps steer you through a dub cork. would it still work with the lead mute?

Nope. I've heard right hand to right ski called push mutes and opposite mutes, not sure which is correct, not that it matters

that's called a seatbelt I'm pretty sure because your arm is reached across your body like a seatbelt. If you grab that same grab with both hands its called a guitar.

actually a guitar might be both hands grabbing regular mute... not sure if it matters if its lead or regular

we should have a sticky of all the grabs cuz there really are quite a bit if you think about different parts of the ski and different variations. ..maybe good idea??

not a noob question at all. it can be both. normally you when you its uncrossed you say uncrossed blunt and when its crossed you just say blunt

grabbing the true tail of your ski, the very tip of it. some say its grabbing the outside edge of a tail grab, but i think most say its grabbing the very tip of the tail.

grabbing the very end of your tail, not on the inside or the outside, but right on the tail. and it can be crossed or uncrossed, doesn't matter, but uncrossed is a bit harder

i thought that when you mute with right hand on right ski, it was called method mute, thats what charles gagnier called it..

That is the grab in question. Like I said before, I've never heard it called a push mute. I've only heard it called a seatbelt grab.

When i think blunt i think capped tail grab no feathering you have to completely grab it three fingers at least if its not or just feathered true tail

this grab is a toxic.not a mute or a push mute or a seatbelt
it is when you grab the right ski with your right hand, in the outside part.

since were on the topic... what is the grab called thats like a daffy with a high safety... dumont does it everytime on misty 7's

oh.. he pointed on foot up a few inches and the other one down a few inches... lets call it a completely different grab than what it is. If every grab was called something out based on how it was tweaked out there would be way too many bullshit names to remember.
