Grab Guide With Pics

tindy is when you cross your skis, and instead of grabbing blunt, you grab somewhere around halfway in between the very tip of your tail and your heelpiece. some people call it "toxic" too.

nice work, but I didn't know you could only do most grabs with teh right hand on right ski.................

that took some work. props man.

I never really pay attention to what grab is what, as long as it looks cool, but the basic ones are elemental to skiing and will never change (ie: mute, safety, tail, truckdriver etc.)

again. massive props for compiling that information

yea yea. I meant to put at the end that skis and hands could be switched. Guitar grab is not made up. and yea cruton, double japan and japical are all REALLY similar, start off with a japan and had a front grab. Thanks for all the props guys

if it continues to get worked on, and if it gets cleaned up, its definitly sticky worthy. And as for the guitar grab, this isn't the first time I hear about it.

can somebody tell me what the hell is going on there^

Cruton is where you grab the inside of your ski in front of the binding on one ski with both hands. and japical = double critical. your missing the 'english muffin (Daffy Nose Tail) and the U grab (Reverse Truck Driver, you must turn the body around to grab it. but other than that dope shit man.

I've a question that bothers me since yesterday and I think it would fit in here.

I spin leftside natural but when it comes to japans (or even dub japans) I kinda prefer doing them on the right ski. Anyone here who does the same?

It just feels way more natural that way...

Andreas Hatveit is the creater of the new Budha grab..

cross your legs like the screamin.. then holding the grab (with ur legs

crossed).

EPIC!!!

^ hmmm its possible, but i was talking to turpin and he said some kid in alberta was the first to do em like last yr.. i thought i made them up.. shut down.

I am going to find that video of C.R. doing them along time ago. If I remember correct J.F. used to do them too.

which argument was that?

besides, it brought up a new one. whats the diff between a tail blunt and true tail?

wow....blunt is just the end of your tail, crossed or not. why does crossing your skis make it a different grab?

Blunt is uncrossed, tail is crossed. That's how I have always known it and how I will always call it. Same with everyone I have ever skied with.

ima come out here and say i think i came up with a new grab, but could be totally wrong, but if so, claim.anywho, it is done by placing both skis parallel and abutting, and grabbing the front left outside edge with the right hand, and the back outside right with the left hand.
i shall call it the elite grab

This thread. . . is the most useful reference. . . I have found. . . since the first day I became a member of NS. Much appreciated, bro.

Are the skis in a daffy position or completely parrallel and even tip to tail? Because if its in a daffy position then it is an English Muffin.

And is the "death grab" one hand grabbed at the tip and the other grabbed directly in front of the binding, same hand same ski? I have Lolo doing that as my background.

Blunt grab, tail grab - all the same to me. Grabbing like Toxic with skis uncrossed = Illegal. Search for Evan Raps for photographico evidencio.

theres a lot of opinions on what a blunt is in this thread...

do none of you say uncrossed blunt? Ive always thought and heard of blunt and true tail as being synonymous meaning to grab the end of your tail. If its crossed then id normally just call it a blunt or a true tail, if not then an uncrossed blunt.
