Grab Guide help

Hello there... due to boredom, I'm compiling a sort or grab reference guide. These are the grabs I have defined so far- please let me know if I'm missing anything. There are some fuzzy, undefined things out there that I'm wondering if I should include, i.e. undermutes, etc. What do you think?

I'm also looking for very good, close-up pictures of any of the below grabs. If you have one you think I could use, please let me know.

One final thing: WHAT IS AN UNCROSSED MUTE GRAB CALLED?

uncrossed mute is basicly a critical. and some people call an illegal a blunt grab.

an uncrossed mute is simply an uncrossed mute, a critical is grabbing on the inner edge rather than the outer edge, similar to a 'that grab' from rolling.

this is kinda weird but this is what turpin told us at High North.

There are 3 types of Tailgrabs

Tail - Outside of the tail

True Tail - The true tail of the ski

Tail Fish - The inside of the tail

I don't know, I wouldn't try one though..ya just might get into some kind of trouble.

Its not how good you ski, but how good you look in the lift line that counts.

Don't worry Rekker, that's just what I was doing. If you want to see a genie grab, go find Jon Olsson's Plake's Pick in an old Freeskier.

And to get this clarified... I was under the impression that an illegal was a tail grab with skis parallel (not crossed). Not true?

illegal is an uncrossed tail grab. evan raps did them with his d-spins in 'The Game'.

and i thought a critical is where u grab right hand to left ski either under the front binding or grab mute, and kick out the opposite leg. like a 'mute kang'.

You know something that would really make me applaud? A guy gets stuck in quicksand, then sinks, then suddenly comes shooting out, riding on water skis. How do they do that?
 
It is silly that moving your hand an inch constitues an entire different grab. Sometimes I wink when I grab so that makes it different, like if I wink when I grab mute and I also tweak at the same time then it is called a tweaked winking mute grab, or a winktweak, as the locs call it. Try them, they rule dudes!

I always thought a mute was uncrossed, and a Mute Cross was the crossed one. I got that from lineskis.com. But a method does sound better and Mute sounds better than Mute Cross.

There was a sequence in a freeze mag a while back of JF Cusson doing a MASSIVE 360 Genie grab. It was funny because the day before i got the mag i was all stoked because i figured i'd invented a new grab.

according to jmmt(the final word lol) a method is when you take your right hand and go under both skis and grab your left ski outside edge, it kinda looks like a snowboarding method in the game but im pretty sure its impossible or would look gay in real life

Well, LaneMeyers, have no fear, because each grab is differentiated by much more than one inch. I hate people who criticize with no basis.

And Steve, I'm pretty sure the term 'mute cross' is archaic by now, it pretty much goes by just 'mute.' So unless anyone throws something else at me, an uncrossed mute goes down in the books as simply 'uncrossed mute.'

I'm not sure what these are called but I've seen people doing them,

same hand same ski, inside edge under the boot.

Tail grab, oppisite hand, oppisite ski grab outside edge or true tail, its on the cover of blunt.

 
Is that the grab like Pollard was busting over the QP in Propaganda? I've been calling it an opposite tail.
