GPA.... whats yours

we have GPA's but they're only used in my school, not throughout the province; just to show us where we stand for some stupid reason. i had a 4.12 something.. i think it dropped slightly though.

i had a 3.7 until i stopped trying (already into college). i dunno what it is now, nor do i care

i go to an all girls catholic private school.

the system is much different here actually.

and basically all the clases are advanced.

if you're dumb and have anything below like an 75 aerage.. teachers freak the hellzzzz out.

i nkow cuz i wasn't doing too well in 1st term. but that was then.

3.25, its my freshman year and i really wanna work harder and get it to around at least a 3.5 wen im done with school

It's not so bad.

I really can't complain.

It's a great educational opportunity.

I find it slack, and the fact that it's an all girls school- well you just forget after your first few days.

Except... I never lock my locker.

And I left my kilt down there like I always do.

and someone jacked it.

They're $ 90. 00.

But I managed to steeze the day away with a velcro kilt from teh office that went about 5 inches past my knees.

Soooo totally not what I'm used to at all.

Hahahaa.

I was just answering your question - putting your grades on here won't give you a definitive answer, being that nobody here works in an admissions office.

To keep you optimistic, though, I've never heard of a college actually going through with their warnings of dropping your acceptance due to a drop in GPA, although I don't know anybody who has had a severe drop in grades.

universities use either 4.0 or 4.3 scales, my question is, why do high and middle schoolers post their GPA's?

Isnt this for university?

I've never heard of middle schoolers having a gpa, but high schools have gpas to rank the students in the class, and when applying to college almost all applications have a spot for gpa. It is kind of silly though because there are so many different scales in different high schools, your gpa ends up not being very important. For example, the top gpa in my high school graduating class was around 4.7, and that kid was one of the smartest kids i have ever met, he got a perfect score on the SATs, twice, and he owns his own computer business. But, ive met kids from high schools with differnet scaled gpas who have like 5.3, its kind of ridiculous a lot of the time

you wear kilts? haha

most the girls schools i know of just call them plaid skirts, skirts for short.

high school = 3.9

college first couple years in a relationship = 3.4

college this year no relationship = 4.0

um i'm in 8th grade and i have had a 4.0 all year.

B U T, in high school if you take honors and AP (one of them or both, not sure which one) then the highest you can get is a 5.0, but thats really hard. how the hell can you get over 5.0s as poeple are saying. CLAIMERS. btw i don't know about college gpa's

a 3.7 cumulative high school GPA and a 1300 on the SAT weren't good enough to get me into UC Davis

Fuck the California chinks and their 4.5s

i beliee UW dropped 25 students after being accepted for not following through, and passing all classes they were informed they were taking, and passing.

3.935
