Jasper,

Hope things are well with you. My name is Mackel Vaughn and I'm the Art Director and oversee all the Social Media for Armada. I'm sorry to hear we've disappointed you. There has been a lot of rumors and misinformation going around regarding the current events between us (Armada) and Rossignol. We are not suing Rossignol nor are we trying to corner any part of the ski market. We love skiing and by no means are we trying to destroy or tear anything apart in the industry. Our President, Hans Smith, has offered to answer any questions you may have on the situation, just send us back your number and he will be sure to call you.

See you on the hill.

Mackel

me too. a pair of well written press releases from each company would go a long way in clearing up misinformation. on both sides.

havent talked with them yet but i am impressed with Armadas professionalism by sending the community a message unlike WME just sitting there and getting crapped on and not doing anything to stop it

Well hopefully this is good news for the industry. I love my Armada's, and have had only good experiences with them.

They called me tonight. I really appreciate their effort in trying to clear things up with concerned members of the ski community.

Whats up with all the skiers from Issaquah now? When I went to that school there were only three or four of us.

literally said "I fucked up, what i did was a bad move. None of the athletes or other employees were involved in the decision to send the cease and desist order."

that was the gist of it.

Really? Thats pretty interesting. Not sure why the OP didnt just put this in the other thread though, where everyone who is following this is already reading.

aka. I thought we could get away with this and get some money out of it. now i'm doing my best to cover our asses.
Just shows that this guy in charge incredibly out of touch with the industry. I wonder whether he is trying to protect the other employees by putting only himself on the line or whether he truly made this move after making zero consultations. If the first case is true speaks badly of Armada, if the second is true it speaks badly of how it's being run. At least he's willing to own up to the mistake rather than write a nicely worded press release trying to blame everybody else.

That schools so much different now. I saw so many people walking around in the upper lot today. Its not the same anymore

Thats one of the reasons why I appreciated the call so much. Not just giving out some blanketed statement. Talking to the guy, he really feels pretty damn shitty either way.

an out of touch CEO is one of my top pet-peeves. I blame greedy capitalism, lawyers, and investors. the game is the problem. So if he admits he "fucked up", does this mean he's okay with other ski companies making similar shapes even if they win this battle of patent rights?

who else has spoken with Hans?

This guy has clearly noticed that this isn't going to go well for Armada so he's back paddling, a big chunk of their customer base is pissed about the whole situation.

Does anyone know if Rossignol actually infringed there copy right becasue if they did all the power to aramada but its sounds like they didnt so armada needs to back down armada is nothing compared to rossiignol
