Gotama and binding question

I'm gonna get a new pair of pow/bc skis to augment my current mojos. I'm thinking of going either with the new Mojo 105s coming out next year or maybe this year's Super Mojos if I can find a good deal on em. My other option is a pair of Gotamas. I've found last year's Gotamas for cheaper than this year's and the sidecut is the same and I was curious is anybody knows if the difference is anything other than cosmetic?

As far as bindings I only ride Salomons and always have and have found S916s and S920s. Both have full steel construction the din on the 920s is a lil high for me cause I normally ride with a din of 12-13, is the din the only dif between those 2 bindings?

thanks

go with the 916 bro it's the same housing lighter spring and the 20 starts at 12. Go with the SuperMojo 105 it is way skiable for what you're looking for. Unless you weigh 200lbs or more AND absolutely kill it AND want only to go straight really fast, don't get the sidewalled (current) supermojo.

Thanks for the info on the 916s, I wasn't sure if the only diff was the din/spring stiffness.

Are you saying that next year's Super Mojo 105s are softer than this years? I'm a short dude, only 5'7" but 165-170 and have always skied stiff, long skis (I'm an ex-racer) are this year's supermojos really that stiff?

the diff between last year's gotamas and this year's is soley cosmetic. they're sick skis. i absolutely love mine.

Last year's Gotamas had a cracking sidewall problem, my friend has a pair that's falling apart, but I think that's fixed this year. With the Supermojo's it's either hit or miss, I have a friend who works at a shop that sells them and the skis that go out are either bombproof or come back in within a month or so(this happens a LOT more). From your choices, I'd go with this year's Gotamas, they're a super fun ski to ride and just generally kick ass.

gotamas have wood sidewalls so i dont know what you mean by sidewall problems but they are awsome skis. they are pretty stiff but can perform well all over the mountain not just in the pow.

Occasionally the wood sidewall would fail or whatever, not crack. This year it is reinforced so it will not happen. Either way it is a sick ski. My buddy skied his goats hard for a few months with no problems.

Yeah, the wood sidewall was replaced by ABS this year because of cracking problems. I had a guy bring in his pair to my shop last week for a tune and didn't even realise the sidewall was split. And he had skied nothing but powder on it, so he said.

Gotamas are softer than the Mojo, Supermojos are a hell of a lot stiffer. The new Mojo 105 is twintipped but I don't know how the flex has changed.
