Got scratched goggle lenses?

Its later in the season now, and I'm sure alot of our goggs have taken a beating so far, do you not like paying 150+ to get some legit ones? I know I didn't I rode with some jacked up lenses for years. Well let me get to the point, wouldn't it be nice if there was a brand that made quality goggles out of the same factory as leading companies like Spy, Bolle, Poc, and smith. Without those massive prices? Lo and behold Xevo Optics! Www.xevooptics.com

Xevo has frameless goggles with multiple lense choices for as low as $80! No joke, great warranty and rider driven company that knows we all like to find good deals on good gear and that's what were striving for over here.

Ranging from photocromatic lenses to low lights and mirrors we've got you covered! New for next season all goggles will be offered in yellow green black red and white frames, with addition of new yellow, red, and green mirrored lenses. Same great fit same wide peripheral vision, same stylish appearance. See just as clear for less. And if you use discount code "cmpro" on checkout receive $30-40 dollars off your order.

If anyone has any questions about the goggles feel free to ask! Cheers and thanks for checking them out NS

Sorry if this should be in gear talk!

Splices for 100 is a good deal, but what happens when your lense gets messed up and you try to warranty? Chances are you're going to have to pay 50+ for a new lense. Xevo will offer new lenses for a little over the price to ship it to replace the damaged one. Also they offer the pro pack which gives you 3 lenses with your purchase. All in all its a good deal.

And as for the paying Ns to advertise, since we've been overstocked on wacky waving inflatable tubemen I'm just passing my savings on to youuuu! Just saying if you post an edit with your sponsors logo in it on ns that's advertising gotta pay em bruh lol

but your lense clarity sucks, is full of distortion, and fits like shit.

if you say it doesnt, prove it.

Not sure how I can demonstrate lense clarity to you, seems like if you've riden in them you'd be able to make your own judgments. The lenses are made out of the same factory that smith iox lenses come from so they're quite far from sucking. And for myself they fit just fine if not better than my a frames, splices, and eg1s on my face. Your head may not fit them as well as well as other brands wouldn't fit you.

The photocromatic lense is one of my favorites since its the transition lense from 17% vlt to 84% vlt (visible light transmission) its like wearing a perfect shade of sunglasses all day then they go clear for indoors and night riding. Maybe in the next day or so I can make a review video or two for folks to check out?

Don't understand the negative criticism, this website is pretty legit and so are the products. Good luck dude.

I have no problem with start up companies trying to break the market. However I do have a problem with creating a thread so you can advertise. In my eyes it's makes your company lose major credibility points.

once again its not my company, and me creating a thread is me trying to generate my own sales. Also i don't understand the negativity either maybe its just because its a low snow season so everyone is irritable, in my eyes making a thread about a company is completely fine case and point why does every company have a marketing team? to directly influence and get the product in front of everyones eyes. making a thread about xevo is just helping a company along the way. If i had made a thread saying on3p makes greats skis you guys should check them out and cop a discount while its there blah blah blah does that mean that on3p loses major credibility points because a thread promoting them was made? i dig you support grassroots companies but i may be missing your point?

I don't create ON3P threads, and we don't have reps slanging discount codes on forums. Please don't put these two companies on the same level, the companies marketing strategy and ethos couldn't be more different.

Oh, you arent in any way affiliated with the company?

Found a pair of dragon NFX's in the parking lot a couple years ago. Lens' haven't gotten any more scratched than they were when I bought them and they have seen a lot of ice and face to rail impacts.. On very cold days, the outer part of the lens likes to fall off when I faceplant, but simply warm them back up and press the lens back on and it doesn't fall off again... strangest thing ever. The Oakley Canopies I bought a few years back (a few months before I found the dragons) scratch suuuuuper easy but they are bomb-proof otherwise. just DONT TOUCH THE INSIDE!

That's a steal! I've heard of Ra Optics, they used to be decently priced when they initially came out. Not sure where they are now, haven't checked up. A friend bought a pair the first year and he said he loved em, thats all.

Might as well support these new companies, its better for everyone really. The industry, the guys that make the companies, and us. Let's boycott them big box brands who aren't eco-friendly and pollute the earth shipping from wherever their products are made to numerous places before falling into our hands.

He is advertising on NS without paying NS for the advert time. And he is also doing it behind an alias, because he knows it's shady.

i dont understand criticizing this guy

There's enough BS brands in the ski industry inflating it. If the guy can't even give off any sort of professional vibe then why should he deserve more than real brands?

I see your point, but what do you define a "real" brand as? Everyone has got to start somewhere..and chill, if the guy is really advertising, then it won't work very well and won't reach as many people as a banner.

I'm not here to say whether or not this guy is with Xevo, but he could be here just trying to help some of us out as many of us CAN'T AFFORD $200 GOGGLES EACH YEAR. It's a fucking waste of money if you can get something cheaper, so let him be. I'm glad to hear about the new company.

Bless

Okay, i get you defending the guy becuase yes the hate was a little excessive. But he was advertising and it did look very unprofessional. Anyways, im sorry but ive saved up money to buy my gear including my first nice pair of goggles last year, smith ioxs. And let me tell you, they are the best goggles ive ever owned and the most durable. If you treat your gear with respect and clean it properly and follow the instructions than it will last for a while a majority of the time. So im sorry to shit on a new company, but id rather save up and buy nice shit every few years than cheap stuff all the time.

I think both sides of this are pretty excessive. The hate, while unwarranted, is classic NS. What can you do about that? Plus they have a point about not paying for advertising. The OP and mantoast need to be more professional and stop making it so obvious that he is either closely involved with xevo or does work for them/owns the company (sorry dude its painfully obvious).

Xevo looks like a legit brand and i wouldn't discredit them without having a reason to. never heard bad things about them and know a few kids who have them (possibly ride for them, can't tell) and they arent bitching and moaning about them so thats always a good thing, plus they do look quite rad. I also personally think that expensive goggles are definitely overrated (especiallly fucking oakley) and that they usually are not worth it. Dragon is my personal exception because i have experienced nothing but satisfaction ffrom them, but Smith, Ive seen weird shit happen with the lenses, Bolle, while amazing, are not durable, Electric isn't durable (reflective coating comes off way too easily), and when that shit happens with name brand, expensive products, I see a valid argument for what xevo is supporting.

Just my 0.02 cents

glad to have your input man, thanks. you're really looking at this through a "clear lens"

I get smith iox gogs for $70 and new lenses for $20. I think ill stick to those since theyre probably 500% better than your shitty goggles that just look like smith io ripoffs

Holy shit, this thread is full of butt-hurt assholes acting like fucking children. Don't like the goggles? Click [back] and leave the thread. No need to wave around your tiny little ePenis' and try and act tough. Grow the fuck up.

Companies like EC headwear, Saga, and ON3P started by throwing up threads and asking people to look at their products. Now you assholes are tonsil deep on their dicks and jerk off to every thread and picture they post.

It's not the summer yet, settle the fuck down.

This whole fucking winter has been a summer.

who the hell buys a new pair of $200 goggles each year? Ive had the same goggles and lenses for 4 years now, sure there are a few scratches but who the hell cares? And if there is a scratch that actually impedes visibility just buy a lens replacement not another $200 pair of goggles. Maybe some people should just try taking better care of their shit? Long as you aren't banging your face into the snow every time you land there is no real reason to have a vision altering scratch apart from freak accidents

I agree, I think I've these goggles for about the same time too. They've got enough scratches but again, who cares? They let me get down the hill without having to squint my eyes and get rammed with snowflakes.

I've always been happy with Smith goggles and I have always been able to find a pair of Smith goggles that works well for under $50 shipped. Not that there is anything wrong with goggles made in China, but my Smith goggles are made in the USA. There have been a couple of times that I wanted to buy a cheap pair of made in China and I just popped in to my local Big 5. K2 sources them in China and sells them with various different brand names. These various K2 brand goggles work well and also under $40.
