Got Scammed Out of 3k via PayPal

Got a phone call from paypal today, naturally thought it was a scam till I logged in. Someone sent themselves a donation from my account for 3 grand. I had a bunch of cash sitting in there now thats all frozen for god knows how long. All I have is his name "Gary Moore", and email address: moore_gary04@allmail.net ... any ideas on how to get back at this guy?
 
How did he get access to your account in the first place? You're just unlucky and got hacked? Or do you know the guy and you happened to leave your paypal logged in somewhere?
 
Just a random hack i think. I have no idea how it happened and I dont know the guy so i reset my passwords to everything...

Haha! I've never had more than 200 in my paypal but wow that does suck, i'll sign him up for some unwanted coupons too, for good measure
 
90% of the time here's what happens: person makes account at sketchy website (herbal smokes, WoW gold, other sketchy online businesses) and uses the same e-mail, password, and secret question as their pay pal. their data falls into the wrong hands, and boom access to paypal account

yeah ill sign him up for a bunch of shit as well. Just go to every website that you can make an account on and make one using that email.
 
Sign him up to every porn site in existence, then find out every one he associates with. reveal his seeming addiction to porn. maybe possibly get him listed as a pedophile. or kill him.

That is a bummer...

The last couple days I've been emailing this guy from craigslist about a house he had posted for rent. He told me that he was from out of state and would not be able to meet with me in person but would have someone in town that he knew show us the interior. Then he would mail the keys after he received a deposit with first months rent with a filled out rent application...

I went to the house and found the for rent sign laying in the front yard. It had a number, so i called. The realtor that answered told me the house had sold a couple days ago and that the dude I was talking to has been copying and pasting their craigslist posts after marking the prices down. Supposedly, he has been doing it for a while and now has a warrant out for his arrest.

There are a lot of scuzzy people out there, you gotta be careful.
 
damn dude, that's shitty. looks like it might turn out for the better though.

i got my itunes account stolen earlier this week and they spent over $300 on nicki minaj and lady gaga albums....fortunately Apple is legit as fuck and suspending the IP that purchased the music from and refunding me all my moneys! :D
