Got my Nordica Ace of Spade boots

Considering the PNW Nordica rep told me himself that barely any were being released, and only in sizes 26.0, 27.0, and 28.0, I doubt many.

Grats on them. I would have gotten a pair but I wear a 31 MP.

Those boots are sick. I had a pair on a few weeks ago to try, and I was really impressed. Really interesting design- even though it's a 3-piece, the tongue isn't as important in the flex of the boot as say a FT or Dalbello. It's all in the rear spine and how the lower shell flexes into it. Great fit too, they say it has a 101mm last but it doesn't feel as spacey as a Beast or Sportmachine for example.

i believe they are a 98 last but i'm not positive. they're definitly not wide because i have quite narrow feet and they are almost too narrow on me. i love them though. so comfy and the flex is really nice. they even have a baggy pants clip on the back of the boot which is pretty sick. the middle buckle clamps your heel into the heel pocket really well too which is nice.

i thought they were somewhere around 103 104mm?? i could be just stoned on T3's though so take that with a grain of salt.

I haven't heard anything about mine shipping yet, hopefully its soon though as our season is going to start soon.

Of course he did, didnt you see how awesome they look. You gotta get them because they look soooo cool.

He probably will just try and sell them if they dont fit him.

Yeah, I ordered them without trying them on. The shop I work at said no worries if they don't fit. I just really want them :)

Sometimes you luck the fuck out with that, I bought my solly foils, last years, they shipped, fit perfectly. $70, unbeatable

this is when i tried them on and the rep got me a pair!

just got mine in store today and i think its only 300 in the US??

and yes i knowthe middle buckle is under! haha

i just don't think its right that the companies give us these deals and then we go around bragging about how cheap we get it! instead we should get people stoked on the product and tell people legit stuff about it and help sell more of that product! its cool to say you got it formed but i dont think the price needs to be out there its all different anyway people like the "pro" part in "pro-forms" anyway i just prefer to say i got a deal and leave it at that

wore mine for about a half an hour and got an arch cramp in my slightly larger foot... put my footbeds in and the cramp went away but I def still need a heat mold. I guess thats what happens when you measure a 27 and ski a 26.5

measure a 27 and ski a 26.5? hahahahaha

bro i measure a 27.5-28 and im in a 26, maybe a 26.5

definitely not cool posting the pro-form price btw

if i told my customers how much I can get a boot for, they would not be happy spending 6 bills +

congrats on putting yourself through more pain than me?

they're snug but im not too worried they'll be fine with a bit of heat and some time.

I'm 100% against posting much info about pro-forms. You get hooked up for a reason, don't blow it for the rest of us you know?

i was correcting the guy who said they were 300$, and ive given ppl sooooo much info about this boot, so its not like im shooting the boot down at all, obviously i wouldnt tell a customer how much the boot costs, and btw i didnt buy the boot, wasnt for me. But if u guys want a mod to delete it, i have no problem with that, and my apologies

im not in pain

maybe its a park thing (cuz i dont ski that much park and so i dont wear park specific boots), but boots need to be snug

the tighter the boot, the more control you have, you want it to be one with your foot and leg, thats the whole point of it. its basically a stiff extension of your foot and leg that can control the ski because your bare feet arent stiff/strong enough.

racers wear boots that are tight as fuck. i go by the 1 to 1.5 fingers in a shell fit rule, they go by the almost no fingers rule. their boots are to small, but it means a tighter fit that allows them more control

i've been skiing in a boot that was way to big for a while, and i can tell the difference between a tight fitting boot and a looser boot. In fact, my feet hurt more in a loose boot because i was working much more and they were sliding around and cramping up.

i actually attribute my reasonably fitting boots to snowboarding for 9 years before ever skiing. I don't race I ski for shits and giggles and I hit some jibs once in a while. I will 100% always love snowboarding more and will always be better at it.

At the end of the day I think I just like my toenails too much to squeeze into a 25.5 for more control... just isn't worth it to me. But like i said I'm used to a much softer boot and to each their own. Use what works for your foot and your taste, for me too tight just ain't much but for others its the bees knees.

^ i wish icould go smaller like you.

I have tried both smaller and just right/bigger. And my feet cramp and hurt soooooooo much more in the small boot.

My spk's are about 2 fingers shell fit. but they fit super snug, i couldnt go smaller or my feet would die. I have super sensitive feet, my family is known for bad feet.

i mean i dont race either, but when you just charging down a groomer, it feels really good to ahve complete control over your boot. i guess its not so important in the park since your not really charging and carving as much as your hitting jumps

my toe nails don't turn black either. its a perfect hit.

and to the guy above me, about the foot cramps, GET FOOT BEDS. Got mine molded today, greatest thing ever

nah they are 101, if i was going to get the boot which im not, i would def down size in it, just something to keep in mind for people looking to buy it

Which foot beds did you get? There are some at my local shop and they are 100 % custom footbeds and they are like 150.

I had super feet once and my boot fitter told me that the super feet werent very good for my wide foot.

I always cramp up in my boots or get super uncomfortable, but when i had a snug fitting boot i was almost in tears it hurt so bad. So i just dont think the tight fit is for me.

Wow I didn't know people were actually intelligent and understood the point or pro-forms. But yes they do! :) Stoked to get mine

Sidas Conformable Ski Pro

its about 150, 100% custom. everyone in the shop (including the guy who hooked me up who is one of the best boot fitters in the country) lives by footbeds, they are the solution to like 90% of all boot problems.

Ya ithink thats the ones that my shop has, my bootfitter was telling me how great they were and i just thought well idont have 150 to spend so i will just stick to what comes with my boots.

we also sell a $40 (i think) and $90 dollar foot bed. the $40 foot bed is not customizable at all, the $90 one is somewhat customizable, but not fully.

anything is better then the stock foot bed. the stock foot bed is literally shit, take it out and bend it, it does nothing. putting in a foot bed will correct your pronation (everyone has it basically, like 10% of people supernate), which means when you step, your arch collapses and your foot spreads out. so your toes actually move forward, and the sides of your feet spread out too. so when you put footbeds in, your toes will actually be farther back (thats why i am buying a boot where my toes do touch the front without a footbed), and your foot will be narrower (well as wide as it normally is when your not putting pressure on it) which will help you fit into a smaller last.

its worth getting something... its does wonders for you foot and boot.
