So don't say any bullshit about just doing it myself, because I probably am going to. But I figured why not throw it up on here and see if anyone has one.

College level-ish

I'll throw you like 500000 karma points and if you live in my area I'll shoot some photos of you or something.

It's basically open to anything.

really if you make some sort of statement or observation and argue it with evidence, then its all good.

dude your in college and you get to write open essays?

im in highschool and every essay ive written has to be proving a specific point. like what are the metephorical similarities between these two completely fucking different people

yo i got one from my senior year of highschool haha u can have it if u want, it prally sucks but u can take a look at it if u want

Thats way easier than writing an open paper. You read the book and come up with your own thesis.

Having your topic and thesis basically mapped out to you from the start is way easier homes.

But only Hamlet?

I would make the topic "Following Your Own Advice: Irony and Hypocrisy in Hamlet" Touch on hypocrisy in the play (Polonius and others) Then go to the stuff about plays within the play: the metadramatic speech about art holding a mirror up to nature, and the examples of drama within the play in the speech by the player and the mousetrap scene, and look at how Shakespeare fails to take his own advice.

I've got a 2 1/2 page essay on how the Mousetrap scene was a turning point in the play. It's pretty much all bullshit and shitty writing (our teacher was a lazyass and didn't read anything), but if your just looking for a backbone I'll send it to ya.

Haha no, not for years... it's way overplayed. Probably the last Shakespeare play I'd want to write on.

I think it'd be cool to take a look at Nihilism in Hamlet. Nihilism is an extremely interesting concept, and Shakespeare beat Nietzsche to the topic as far as the west is concerned. Nihilism can be found positively in most of the death scenes, and in the ending regarding love and family, and even in the fact that ghost pappa didnt get to go to heaven, etc.

Good luck dude

yeah dude. was anyone else super disapointed when the entire book was a build up to him killing his uncle, and what does he do? make him drink some poison. fuck that. i wanted him to chop his head off or something gnar. feed him to a bear.
