Got 18 minutes? Check out our First Full length film.

This past season we filmed a fair bit in hopes of creating our first full length film. We managed to get enough footage to throw a little something together. Filmed throughout B.C. Edited by Glenn King, Jason Hamborg, and Taylor Josephy. Please take the time to watch and then let me know what you think below. Thanks guys.

pretty solid...i'd make sure you clips are lined up though...noticed a couple frames that cut straight black then to another shot.

Haven't watched it yet, but 18 minutes is not a full-length. Full length must be a minimum of 40 minutes long.

I actually liked it. And that's different for me, I don't usually like these types of films, but it gave me the friends vibe and the skiing was half decent too. Very nice work.

I would actually disagree with that, because that would be saying that TSP's movie wasn't full length (i believe it was under 40? could be wrong).

I would say that for an amateur production, anything 20 minutes or over should be considered full length, and for a more professional production, anything over 30-35 minutes should be considered full length.

Regardless, calling this full length at 18 minutes is probably pushing it a little, but i enjoyed it nonetheless.

If we want to get down to brass tacks, MPAA, AFI, and BFI define it as 40 minutes or longer, SAG says at least 80.

haha well that's fine, we both know we're talking about ski films. I highly doubt the MPAA was taking ski films into consideration when they decided upon 40 minutes. If you're going to compare standard motion pictures to ski films, then an hour and a half long ski film should be perfectly acceptable. but we know how things go when a company drops a 1.5 hour ski movie.

Truth, so I guess I'll concede to your 30-35 minute minimum standard. but this should also apply to amateur films. Just because an indie film is on a smaller budget doesn't mean it gets to conform to lesser standards.

i very much enjoyed that. thanks for posting it up and thanks for doing a decent job at it too. tired of seeing ridiculously shitty vids....loved the vibe!
