i wont lie i fucking love buying stuff so I'm probably gona spend it all, maybe save like $200. I can either get a 13" macbook pro, have $360 left over to buy my jacket and goggles. Then sell the rest of my old outerwear and hopefully buy the matching pants and any other shit i need.

OR

I can NOT buy the macbook, buy an ounce of weed, 8 foot camera crane, matching XXL planet earth setup, oakley crowbars, 20 mini DV tapes, new helmet, gloves... and still have money left over.

I can run premier pro and afx perfectly fine with my PC but It would be nice to upgrade to mac and have something for trips and much quicker rendering times.

wat do u think?
 
don't get the mac just for video editing. unless your pc is really bad, the macbook won't be any better.
 
I usually dont buy tapes in bulk, cus when im out shootin in the city, im like OH convient ill buy a tape.

But yeah both desicons are hard

you could buy close to 50 grams of blow with that much cash. then, assuming you don't blast through a bunch of it, you could turn around and sell that shit for almost double. then you could buy a bigger macbook and then all the other shit too. or just the macbook and more blow to do it all over again. your choice.
 
eastar5 some advice, you dont need a mac to do video editing. there is a program called pinnacle studio. the newest version is 10.5 and i dont think you hve an hd camera so you dont need the titanium version. it is the best editing program out there today so i wouldnt spend your money on that notebook unless you want a laptop for trips and such.
 
watever the last guy said he has no idea wat he is talkin about. pinnacle is nothing compared to either final cut or premier. but like others have said i would suggest keeping ur computer and spending the money elsewhere. the macbook wont be any better. but laptops are nice. its ur money haha.
 
im pretty sure i know what im talking about. i worked at best buy all fucking summer selling that shit and cameras and camcorders

get a plane ticket, fly to sf, get a pound of the killest weed that you have only heard of in songs and such, and fly back. problem solved
 
no dude buy a quap o weed and then buy some other smaller shit u wanted, then sell u weed and make liek 2x what u have... and u have enugh weed to wakeandbake everyday and then after school and u wont even notice any of its gone
 
Get the Mac.They do come in handy when your on skiing trips and you have footage and you have nothing else to do but upload clips and start editing.
 
Haha oh man stop. Anything pinnacle makes is made for my grandma to edit her cat movies. How many 3 chip camera's did you sell?
 
im pretty sure that people at best buy usually have no idea wat they are talkin about. maybe u are an aberration but i wouldnt bet on it. and you have obviously never used final cut or premiere or you would know that they are both far superior to pinnacle in that they have far more options and more intuitive.

haha agreed once your in colllege youll know what being poor is and youll learn to go cheep but if you still in high school go for option two i got a macbook and love it but if you PC works fine stay with that
