style has evolved so much over the last 5 years. i think gorilla still looks so dope esp. on rails. steeze now is like as long as it looks effortless. what do you think. (the best example for gorilla steeze is prolly liam downey in superpark 5)
 
u cant really say who has the best style, everyone likes different style, and thats how they are influenced

by i really like rainvilles style, especially with grabs
 
to be honest i really dont care for T-Rain very much, im sorry, but his skiing dosent really tickle my fancy.
 
he grabs like no one else, and has such a sick rail style... but hey, everyone has different opinions
 
are you kidding me, absolutely know way is liam downeys style "gorilla", as far as rail style goes these days there is just style, nothing else, if u havn't developed a style its not style its just you trying something a certan way, i can't relaly explain it.
 
correct me if i am wrong but i though gorilla steeze was were u just get low. for example it looks like your sitting down when you are on a rail or go off a jump
 
steeze is just if something looks sick, who gives a shit what somepeople call it, if you see a trick you think looked mad cool then shout it out "STEEEEEEEEEEZY"
 
rainville has an amzing style..the best example of that is the up rail he slayed in SH6..the grabs were amazing like no other
 
Whatever looks good is steezey. I think effortlessness is a big important part of steeze. I like gorilla steeze if its done right. I think Simon Dumont in X had sick Gorilla Steeze when he did that floaty 180 off that step up. That was super steezey. He held it so long to. Super steeze.

i think gorilla looks shitty usually cuz when you need to do a change up or something and you jump you look like your trying too hard. i like when peole are more upright and the cange up and it looks more clean and effortless. usually.
 
no i disagree i think downey 3 years ago had that shit goinbg on. gorilla steeze is pretty much hunched over with your hands dangling straight in front like a gorilla not all pencil steezy like his guy
 
no saying gorilla steeze proves that i got in on the sport back when it was called that and that you are a dumbass.

eh dont say shit ive been skiing for 10 fuckin years, and ive paid my dues. i raced i bumped and i currently ski park. i am just saying i like the way it looks and no i dint get into this to copy his style. i have a really weird style and i dont give a shit. dunno why yur pissed but seriously brah chill.

Rather the style you're referring to is "GEURILLA." No people who ski like this aren't part of some militia, rather the term is used meaning "irregular" or "underground."

Those in combat who adopted innovative techniques to surprise the enemy were labled "Geurillas." Thus the skiers in our sport who are trying new styles, and being innovative/irregular have "Geurilla Steeze."

i prefer to be lazy where you just dont really try at all. like when you just kinda fall off with a 270 or don't even try to grab with a spin. i just think it feels really natural.

I just do my own thing. I just have a little bend in my knees and put my hands at my balls, with my poles out to the side, very similar to the pic Nomensteven posted, i think it looks stupid if you force something.
