i just wanted to say for anyone that has ever been to gore, that twister glades is the greatest trail on earth. i've skied all over vermont, new hampshire, maine, squaw valley, vail, and nothing tops twister glades. my best ski memories are of linking fast turns through those trees with my best friends while pounding tunes through my head. sorry to be so sentemental.

 
my favorite is chute at mad river, and you havent skied glades until youve skied mad river... no snowboarders, no grooming or snowmaking, all natrual snow

twister isnt the best glades at gore....chattemac is good and the indian named thing has a 10 foot ledge

Twister sucks compared to chatamac

I went there last April and they got 16 inches and chatamac was so fun

i was just wondering whos been to gore lately cause i'm thinking about driving up there but i don't want to make the trip if the conditions aren't worth it.

 
its worth it. this past week they got a few inches of new snow, plus it was below zero almost every night so they have a ton of made snow, too.

I was at Gore this weekend and it was sooo nice. Better Saturday than Sunday (it was kinda windy) but still gorgeous, especially up off the Straitbrook and High Peaks chairs if anyone's interested. I hope its just as good next weekend, I can't wait.

I'm from Chicago and will be in Rochester on Saturday and Saratoga Springs on Monday. Gore mountain seems like a convient place to ski next Sunday. Do you guys reccomend Gore or would you suggest something else?

^ i was at gore today and the park is 2 tables about 15 feet long and a bunch of small rails but there a few fun ones that arent too small

 
gore sucks... park sucks and the glaeds werent open. my friends got thair passes pulled for standing on top of a cliff about to drop it. it was the one right under tha triple next to the gondala.

the skiing was pretty good this weekend. I don't go to the park ever, but the upper mountain was pretty good. Lower Chatiemac was a bit muddy but other than that there was some nice soft snow, you could edge on pretty much anything. My favorite time to do Rumor and Lies is in the spring, soooo nice.

I'm thinking about playing hookie tomorrow and going up to Gore, I wonder if it'll be good with all this new snow. anyone heard anything about it?

Gore is good but they moved the park so its only a tiny run, you get more runs in, but there is no real ski skiing just hitting stuff. O and the lift tickets are like 50 they should sell a park ticket only for the park for like 20

 
gore is a sick mountain. What other ski reort in the east has a 55 degree trail(rumor).CHatiemac,straightbrook,darkside,double barrel,twister,otter slide are some of the best glades in the east. High pines has 2 15 footers and a 30 footer at the end.Underneath the adirondack express is a nick 20 footer which always has powder under it and a sick 20 footer under the gondola.Theres also some sick spots I kno that nobody else knows about with a nice 20 foot waterfall cliff. If anybody ever wants to ski with me up ther ill show you some sick shit

 
You all have it wrong with Gore, that place sucks!... Whiteface has it so much better and it's totally worth the further drive, 10th Mountain division glades are the best glades i've ever been in, but Mad River does rock

 
dude wake up!Whiteface doesnt have 1 hard trail and they have a shitty terrain park...so does gore but gore has much better terrain,best lifts, and less crowds

 
i know exactly what cliff ur talking about linemav. im hittin it this year, and gores park/pipe...well isnt...the pipe is just ice walled ditch, and the park has 2 or 3 tables no greater than 15 feet long, but the rails ar alright...the glades is where its at tho
