This saturday i saw a kid hit his head on the tube rail over the spine in the park at Gore Mtn. There was a considerable amount of blood, they even closed the feature so patrol could shovel all the bloody snow into the woods. Definitely made me think twice about skiing rails without a helmet, a real eye opener. Anyone know the kid? I hope hes ok. I might be bringing the helmet back out of the closet.

DV closed a part of their mountain and a lift this past week for a dude that smoked a tree and exploded his head/face. Dead on the scene.

two people died at my mountain in a week last month: first kid was a tourist who overshot a closed jump and severed his aorta, second was a kid who just ate it in a glade and they found him dead in a stream after turning all the lights back on after hours because his friends couldnt find him. Be smart about your skiing, kids.

Park crew at my mountain found guy in race skis in the superpipe face down in a pool of his blood. Nobody knew who he was or how he fell. He ended up dying in the hospital due to head trauma.

gore rails are terrible and grippy as hell. they are like 80grit sandpaper. I hate their park. Gore is all about the woods..

Heard about this at the shop, crazy. Hope he's alright. Early reports were of a death, hope it didnt end up that severe.

Yes they have some terribly shotty rails.

Gore = dope steeps , snow , glades, caves , trees , buds , clamboxed gondola

fuck, was that this weekend? Saw some racer guy going into the pipe on Saturday a few times, didn't bother cause everything was frozen solid. Lots of racers there this weekend so it could have been a different one though.

I'm really glad my parents always had me where a helmet skiing, I'm so used to it I've never even questioned not using it.

It was a while back when it was a superpipe and not the crazy rail set up along the sides of the pipe thing we got going on now. We did end up having a guest getting flown out in a helicopter during parrot head. This happens more often than you think though.

my cousin's cousin (other side of his family) got wrecked in a tree at sugarloaf and was airlifted out of the area just the other weekend.
