GoPro Steadicams??

What's up boiz. I've been looking into buying a Gimbal for next season's filming, but I realized you can't use the case on your gopro with it. I'd rather have a Steadicam that you can use the gopro case with, and is preferrably cheaper. I have a hero 3, for anyone who needs to know the specifics. +++K for helpful answers, any suggestions or reviews appreciated!!

There are handheld gimbal systems out there that will allow you to mount your gopro with the case. SHAPE makes a small gimbal system that will allow you to use both your iphone and gopro. There are other manufactures out there as well as far as mounting your gopro and case to a gimbal system. If you end up going the steadicam route I would look into the steadicam smoothee. If you want to see what the smoothee can do check out Sean Bakers film "Tangerine". The film was shot entirely on an iphone and Sean used the steadicam smoothee in many of the shots.

I was referring to the media talk forum haha. Thanks for the links though. I figured I'll just buy the gimbal slvsh uses.
 
Will, I would recomend the Glidecam Iglide which is perfect for small cameras like the gopro. it is a little hard to get used to but one you got it down they produce great shots. And as long as you have a tripod Gopro mount you can keep the case on.
 
im in the same boat as you but its like the case protects the go pro but the gimbal is just as venerable as the go pro with the case off so might as well risk it all for better shots without case and i might buy the 4 bc it just shots so much nicer .

The gimble slvsh uses you can't use a case with.
