GoPro Questions [moved]

WAsnt getting ne responses n i need em quick =)

Soo Today we used my friends gopro to film some footage. His is the 1080p GoPro and it is formatted for a PC. I went to view the footage by plugging in his gopro to my MacBook. I turned it on and the "USB" on the lcd screen wouldnt show up. So i took his memory card out of his gopro and put it into my gopro (960p formatted to a MAC) and then turned my gopro on and it worked. I could view the clips. So i moved them to my desktop then tried to import into FCE 4 and it said "(1) file selected, (0) imported (0) recognized" or something like that. Does anyone know how i can edit his footage on my mac? Please help and +K

It's giving you H.264 and final cut can't work with that. Download the program "Mpeg Streamclip" its free just google it, and from their convert to quicktime (prores being the best option, though it will increase your file size).

If you can't figure this out with some research, your time in FC will be worthless because that's more difficult than converting video....

abek made a thread recently all about the basics of processing your videos from start to finish. Search for that.

kinda off topic but on mbp's you can just plug the sd card right into the computer without the cord. if you werent aware, now you are!
