GoPro Hero Wide Helmet cam?

Correct me cuz im prolly wrong but..

GoPro Helmet cams are used in Traveling Circus episodes 5 and 7?

Go watch if they are but if theyre not just google ^

personally, i don't like the difference of quality. i've never used one, so i can't say if its that big of a deal. but they seem fun for like pov stuff

Yeah, I was actually going to make this exact thread last night. I'm looking into getting a helmet cam, and I'm trying to figure out which one is best. The Go Pro Wide is only 180 dollars, and it is mad wide, like 170degrees, which is what you want. I also saw this other one called the "countourHD" and its 280 dollars, HD, but it only has 135 degrees angle, which I don't think would be wide enough for skiing. But yeah, what do you guys think?

has anyone used the suction cup attachment? or do the attachments they give you work with most helmets?
what are some negative about it?

i don't think it would work well with helmets because the whole round aspect,
But it'd your defenetly be sick you put it on your ski right infront of your binding.

So I'm trying to start filming, but I don't even know yet what kind of camera to go for. I've heard good things about GoPro, and there are a few advantages to POV for me. I could still ski and film, film alone, and also use it when mountain biking, longboarding and surfing (it is waterproof right?) Could I still just hold it in my hands and film normally like that or does it not have a visualizer? I can only afford maybe one camera, and I'd be worried that I wouldn't be able to film myself and others as well. Thoughts?

check out the videos that tommy ellingson has been making i think he calls them TOMMYsodes

the hero cam is what he shoots them with i believe

I have a friend who rides for them and he raves about it. He has mounts for the helmet, ski, and for his poles. He has used the POV camera too, and he said the go pros blow them out of the water!
