Alrighty, here it is. I was able to snag a group buy for the GoPro HD Hero video camera. I run a non-ski related forum and thought I'd extend the offer to Newschoolers as I'm sure you guys could find sick use for this cam while steezing it up in the snow or in the air.

The first few batches of the HD Hero are already sold out so the orders from the Group Order will likely ship mid-late-November.

IF YOU WANT TO BE A PART OF THE GROUP BUY, PLEASE PM ME ASAP. I will be closing the order in two weeks. Check the goprocamera.com website to find out exactly what you want (which mounts, which HD version, ie. Surf, Moto, etc) and let me know through the PM.

I can't post the pricing but I can let you know via PM. All I can say is the HD version bought through the group buy will be MUCH less than if you bought it in the store, or if you bought it in the US and brought it to Canada!

FYI to all, in order to save on costs, I'm having the Group Buy order shipped to me here in Toronto - so if you are local, we can meet up or if you wanted to pay for shipping to wherever you live, I can do that too (I doubt Canada Post would be that bad). My postal code is M5V2R3 if you need to estimate shipping costs.

 
Hi all,

thanks for those who PM'd me about their interest and their orders. I will be closing off this Group Buy this Friday and will be placing the order. Orders should arrive in Ontario by end of November-early December. If some don't get to order this time around, I'll try and run another group buy in the new year if there's enough interest.

Just found out I can ship to the US. Will be $10 shipping to mainland US. Let me know asap if you are interested and I'll put you down on the list. I'm placing orders this Friday.

If you are in the US I will need full pre-payment (paypal is likely best) but if you are in Canada, I will need 50% deposit before I order.

Very glad to hear about this opportunity, but you gotta be sure now a days.

yeah im on the same boat if you can send me some backgorund info that be great...cause i trust you but you can never be to sure....haha hope you understand...
 
Just an FYI - the GoPro's have started to ship. To the US guys here who ordered one, yours will likely start to ship next week or so. I'll keep you posted.

I can't wait to get mine and try er out. Don't forget to buy a high speed memory card so you won't feel like you got a gift you can't use!
