GoPro HD Hero problems

My gopro hd hero says FUL when i turn it on. it wont let me take pictures or videos or anything and i assumed it means the memory is full, so i plugged it into my computer and deleted tons of shots from it but it still says FUL. what does that mean and what do i do to fix it?
 
first off, when your computer is plugged into it, make sure that you empty your trash can before you unplug the camera.

if that doesn't work, go the the option "ALL" on the camera, and press the record button twice. this will erase and format your card.
