GoPro filming help

Hi,I just got a GoPro hd hero 3 + Black edition, and I was wondering what the best settings were to use? I enjoy the 1080p 30fps setting at the moment.. Also how should I film to make it look the best?

-Would I be able to get good rail sounds with it in the case or would I have to buy a mic?

Thanks--

make sure you get the camera super close, like dont even worrie about getting too close, the lens is really wide, and yeah 1080/60 is best

definitely use something to stabilize the shots. go pro shots can look great, but having them super shaky ruins them. also, if you know how, color correcting helps a lot.

If you are using it to try and make edits try and get a proper camera too. Gopro footage is nice but for a full edit it is a little limited and restricting. That being said if it is your only camera and you are making an edit try and film as many different angles as you can. 3 minute edits of POV footage just looks awful. Also as said above 1080/60p is always best.

Alright, Thanks, I hate the POV shots anyways so I was planning on just using it for 3rd person.

Film very close to people. Mount your gopro on a pole and hold it upside down. You can make your gopro film upside down in the settings.
