Gopro and new computer

getting a gopro and was going to get a new labtop....does the camera work with just about every computer/softwear?

basically any computer will work, it matters if the editing system will work. if you choose to go to windows 7, i believe you have to convert the video with windows movie maker (very simple editing system, nothing special.) if you choose to go to get a mac like suggested above, then it comes with imovie. which is again the same deal as windows movie maker, just works a lot better with a gopro. i personally edit on a pc and you sony vegas pro 9.0. with a mac you can get final cut pro, final cut express etc.

it really just comes down to if you want to spend a lot of money on a mac and get wicked editing programs, or spend less money and still get pretty dope editing programs with a pc.

i have a pc, finding an editing system is pretty difficult because not a lot of them open gopro shots(quicktime), go with a macbook cuz you can use imovie for free

i would get a pc, they are very user friendly and easy to edit with for gopro's and shia. i use sony vegas 9.0, you can download it from the interwebz

i would get a mac book pro. i have one and imovie is so muxh better then movie maker. and just for everyday use mac is where its at.

This laptop is great, I'm using mine right now. It's almost impossible to get one with these specs for less than five hundred. Since you're on a budget, should be perfect with Sony Vegas.
