GoPro 3D + GoPro Software

Hey guys,
GoPro just released their new 3D system, which is very rad. For those that aren't into it, there's also other great news..The GoPro 3D software, which is free to everyone also is a video transcoding device that transcodes into the new GoPro Cineform Codec, which is basically the same as ProRes422 BUT it works on mac AND PC in Final Cut, Adobe, etc. For those that have been transcoding stuff, this tool can replace MPEG Streamclip & Cinema tools. I've been helping develop how it works, so hopefully it speeds up the pre-edit time and makes things easier!
The new software tool also can conform frame rate to get smooth slow motion. Check out the download and tutorials at http://www.gopro.com/3d

3D is an eye sore for me , especially for skiing in my opinion. That part in the TGR film did not work well in my opinion but I guess thats the only '3d skiing' I have seen. That is cool about the Codec although! does that mean that using Mpeg streamclip is not necessary anymore?

I think this is actually cool! I have a 3D T.V. at my house and watched Xgames in 3D and it was sick! Especially pipe cause it looked like the skiers were jumping out of the tv.

Hey guys, i just got this but dont want to make a shitty edit, so will someone post theres so i can see how you did this, and is this only for 3d?

Personally I don't like 3d at all. I really hope it doesnt make normal shooting obselete anytime time soon. Although I think it will at some point, definately not in the next few years though. Its crazy the new 3d things which you don't need glasses for like the DS or whatever.

i agree but i do think 3d is pretty rad every once in a while. As long as like you said 3D dosent become a standard anytime soon. Id fucking love to see 3d edits without glasses.

wow I fucked up and didn't conform a bunch of 720p60 files when I converted them so now I'm stuck with cineform 60p files because cinema tools won't conform them now. And I deleted the originals. is there any way to conform them after you convert them?

if you have final cut try making a new project, and then just dragging one of them down into the timeline, and it should ask you if you want to change the sequence settings to match the clip settings. then command j and speed to 40% (assuming you wanted 24p from 60p). hopefully that works, but if it doesn't then idk

well that would but i have other stuff i want to use in the same project thats already 24p, so i hope someone knows a way to un-convert it or to conform it haha
