Very interesting, the new body looks sweet! i like how it says "1080-30" not like r2 or whatever. 120fps is interesting too bad its SD. the 10 frames in 1 second is cool too, although i could care less about the photo abilities of a gopro. Unfortunately, it will still look like a gopro.
 
Apparently they're currently available at Best Buys in store and online now but the GoPro website doesn't even mention them. Also they're the same price as the regular GoPro.

I think I'm gunna go check one out at Best Buy tomorrow...
 
Too soon, they are still cashing in on the current GoPro HD, they need to take a note from Apple and really time the release of the next GoPro perfect so everyone feels like they gotta upgrade hahaha

idk what the wi-fi is for, solid state memory > wi-fi as far as i'm concerned for getting it on your computer. Maybe they are integrating youtube uploads?

aaaaand we're all still going to have to ask our friends if the red light is on. a simple record switch would have been a great addition.
 
or dont derp and press the button and listen for the beep.

would you feel like an idiot if you started to film then accidentally hit the stop recording switch and didnt film anything cool?

the switch would be cool if it was, switch on and the front button to stop. so no matter what, when you hit the switch its filming and when youre done you press the front button and dont worry about the switch.

or make a good switch with a lock or something.
 
seriously? you ever tried to hear the beep when you're wearing a beanie under your helmet and it's windy as fuck out, especially if you're already riding and don't want to stop? it can be incredibly hard to hear it. think a little before making a comment.

personally i think the switch on the contour is perfect. it's hard enough to slide that you won't accidentally do it, and it's super easy to tell for sure if you're filming or not.
 
at first I was all upset cause I bought one recently, but none of those features really ad that much to what I want, the sharper lens would be nice, but I doubt it will look that different.
 
Confused, is it white or silver? In the first pictures, it definitely looks white. Then with the case its silver.
 
I love how I basically enjoy watching advertisements from GoPro. That last wingsuit shot through that keyhole looking thing in china was ridic.
 
ehhhhhh... those HD superslow mo shots must have been using Twixtor or something of that sort. they were incredible
 
So we can only record 120fps in WVGA. I'm not super technical, soo whats the difference between lets say 1080p and WVGA?
 
WVGA is really LOW quality, like 1080p is 1960x1080 and if I remember right 854x480.. So you have a really smaller video.

Is the washed out-ness on sunny days on snow has been fixed... then I will seriously get a new one since i get proform on them... and my 960 has a scratch on the lens... Somebody please give me an excuse to blow some money? Eh?
 
damn that side by side video you can really see a difference, i most likely wouldn't be able to tell difference normally tho
