Arrgh.

So five years ago my mom got breast cancer, and went through the whole surgery and chemo deal. she had a 25% chance of making it past five years, which shes done as of october of this year. Last week she went in for her yearly pelvic and shit wasn't normal, and after a bunch of testing and cat scans, mri's and blood work, we've found out that she has cancer in her bone marrow. shoulder blades, hips, and lower spiine. She's going in to surgery tomorrow to take out her ovaries and her uterus. Estrogen is what's feeding the cancer and by taking out the source of the problem it will apparantly starve the cells and stop it from metastasizing any further. Regardless, she's uber worried. I think i'm gonna use the law of attraction here and bring good things our way by thinking positively and saying everythign will be fine. So, everything will be fine. Send some love her way = ]

Whoa that suuuucks. +++++ vibes! I hope she makes it through everything ok and gets better, I can't even imagine how hard that must be.

++++ vibes

shit's gonna be okay :) I went with my best friend to get a tattoo reading "I am my mother's daughter" in pink, in the shape of a cancer ribbon to celebrate her mother's remission. Chin up.

I'm so sorry. You're mom will be great. My mom had breast cancer that spread to her lymph nodes. She didn't want to do chemo so she took a break from all the tests and shit. She started eating super healthy and boosting her immune system and drank Cellquest. Over a month later she went back in for surgery and they took out 19 lymph node - all clean. Now she is on her second to last treatment of chemo for precautionary measures. It's been really rough the past two years, but we are working through it. Now I'm crying.

You're mom will be healthy.

Whats Cellquiest? When my mom first got sick it was hell for a full two years. Chemo is the worst, and I'm glad your mom didn't have to go through it. We've both adopted a macrobiotic diet, which is basically all grains vegetables and fruit to help fight, and loads of antioxidants. I'll be staying overnight with her in the hospital tomorrow, and your support means a LOT. Thanks girl, and to everyone else too

I swear that CellQuest works. It's make from this liquid that comes from the Plantain tree. A family friend of ours is the mane investor and backs this stuff up 100%. I do too.

I'm glad that my mom didn't have to take the strong dose of chemo. I'm glad that I was home for the first part. I probably would have just broken down. I have to go back on the 1st because she has two more treatments and I have to take care of a 20 acre farm. I still don't know how I'll react when I see her.

im in grad school right now working in a breast cancer research lab. and you're right estrogen does increase the aggressiveness of it. but don't worry, i'll have that shit cured in a few days, no problem.

but in all seriousness, best of luck to her. let's hope the surgery does its job. that's a tough thing to deal with.

loads of ++++++vibes to you and your mom. Stay positive and just remember that she's stayed this strong thorugh all that she's been through, she can pull through this as well.

Alright, how about an update...

She got out of surgery about an hour ago and i just left the hospital. Ran home to pick up a few things and convinced the nurses to let me sleep over. Being an emt seems to have interesting benefits lol. She's okay...in a lot of pain. She lost way more blood than expected though so i'll be giving her a blood transfusion when i go back. Give back to the woman that put me here in the first place.

Thanks to everyone for support, but we've got a long haul in front of us
