Hey,just wondering if there was any easy way to learn to use google sketchup... i want to make a model of a backyard drop in ramp.ThanksR

its not hard to figure out, just trial and error

i used to use it at school sometime to make simple 3d renderings of site plans etc.

its not very hard, but the more complex stuff your trying to build that harder it gets to use. the snapping in it is fahken terrible.

when your first download it just screw around buy making boxs, spheres, pyramids, stack them on eachother, resize them etc. then start trying to build your ramp.

if you just go straight into trying to build your ramp you will end up chucking your computer out the window.

it's super easy, just experiment with it and look for tutorials in youtube!
i've also made a sketch of my setup and did so in 1 day, downloading, learning to use it, and making it, it's really easy

1. make shape
2. make shape inside shape #1
3. experiment with push/pull tool
....you'll get it pretty quickly, its designed to be idiot proof
