I know a lot of people aren't real down to share their secret stashes, but what do you guys think about starting a resource where people share urban jibs on google earth? You could include pics, bust factor, difficulty etc. Discuss.

you cant tell how nice urbans are from google earth but it would be a good way to show how to get there

Ya, I know you can't actually see rails, but you can add placemarks where they are. Mostly it would just be to see where they are, but if you added pictures you could check out the rail too.

nah, you should just check your region manually. it would have to be really simple to update jibs.

Already done! If you go to www.jibvids.com you can add your spots to any location worldwide. You can also add photo's and a video for each spot. This site is free to use and obviously requires input to make it work. Have a play and let me know what you think.

www.jibvids.com

no serious crew would want to give up their locations, gotta keep it exclusive and original. I've always wanted to d this but for my personal use only. I could understand this though for really popular spots like rail gardens, the U of U medical Ctr. rail and the cotton wood heights rail though.

Thanks for trying - more detailed instruction.

For example to add a spot in Breckenridge.

Go to www.jibvids.com. On the main page enter Breckenridge into the Suburb box, CO into the State box and USA into the Country box, then select the Search Map button. This will bring up a map of Breckenridge. Use the cursor to set the map to the correct position then add a spot onto the map by selecting the Add Your Spot button. Fill in the new spot form drag the map marker to the correct location and save!

Please give this a try and let me know if it works for you.

i had an idea for something like this a while ago, i've honestly never hit an urban, but something like an urbanjibs.com with pics, directions and such would be a great resource for everyone in the freeskiing community.
