Google Chrome Pilot program?!?!

fuck i knew that shit would come back and bite me in the ass eventually, but those damn chicks with dicks man, its impossible to pass that shit up!
 
i never got any email. but yeah, im sure days means business days.

The CR-48 is such a headache right now, but i guess thats the nature of the beast st its current stage. I usually find myself on my windows laptop, doing something the cr could not. sometimes its as simple as posting on NS, like right now.

I now have a deeper love for my vaio lol
 
Virtually everything done on the Chrome OS is stored on servers at Google. The fact that none of you stuff is actually stored on the computer is what makes the "Cloud"
 
oh i havent used the chrome OS, i thought he was saying anything you did through google ever was searchable by subpoena
 
haha did you find it on the tracker thing? "mine" shipped on friday so tomorrow? maybe? idk
 
There was one shipped to my town, but it was already delivered :(Hopefully I will get one this week, I signed up my whole family...
They manufactured 60,000, and have apparently only shipped out 6,000, so there is still hope. I'm just wondering how many people have signed up, and how they choose who to send them too.
 
Yeah, after i received it, i decided to check out the tracker to see if anybody else received on, but i was the only one haha
 
Triple post. UPDATE: It feels a lot better now. They seem to have gotten rid of all the glitches. Now it feels like a normal netbook. pretty stoked on it. Im posting from the laundromat with it right now, its pretty quick with the verizon 3g access! Stoked!
 
and arrest you for? the government doesn't give a shit unless you're in child porn or have 100 kilos of coke or killed someone. the main reason they have info is to sell it to ad agencies.
 
yessir. im pretty stoked for those too. Id deff consider buying one if i didnt have the CR48. whats the MSRP? like 499 or something?
 
I don't think they have said but I would assume around there, hopefully a little less. I'm stocked too. how effective do you think they would be for a freshmen at college next year?
 
oh great, so they can go through everything on your computer too. not just your emails and everything you do on Chrome. I say you fill it with child porn and see how fast it takes the Feds to be knocking at your door
 
Well its all online. very little HD space to store any programs or files. While there is apps such as google docs among others in the cloud. Id deff prefer to use a regular laptop for programs like word, excel, etc.

that being said. there are some sites online that will let you store files. Ive also heard some discussion about an app that will allow you to install your own programs on the cloud.
 
I'm not too worried about Google going through any of my shit. It wouldn't be worth it, they've got bigger fish to fry. I just use this one for surfing and shit when i'm out and about. it definitely doesn't replace my laptop by any means.

Another downside to the chromebook. If your in an area without Wifi or 3g service, it literally becomes useless.
