Goode str8 WTF

to save money in the face of the rough economy goode ski designers were only provided with rulers and allotted 4 angles

i mean honestly it makes sense, we have normal sidecut and reverse sidecut skis why not none at all? i bet there will be skis with no camber as well

most of the praxxis skis have no sidecut or camber. The old jjs used to be be flat camber, or supposed to be.

Thoughts:

1) Goode's stuff has always been on the expensive side.

2) They have largely marketed to the wealthy, older, weekend warrior set.

3) They will probably market this as a must have for your Canadian Heli Ski trip.

The problem is going to be when one of their "more mature" skiers, decides to try and ski this at a ski area on a powder day, catches that 90 degree angle tip on a mogul and does their first involuntary misty 9. That will go over well.

i dont think its the lack of sidecut that makes them weird, its more like the dead square tip profiles. pretty gnarly, but id have to imagine that it would feel really weird/catchy on edge.
