Goodbye NS

wow i almost never post on here but i thought this warranted it. Josh has always had a great vision for the sport- I knew him when he was 16 shredding out in vail, when he moved to breck just to ride and when he told me that he had a dream of opening a shop. Throughout it all he has always done everything for the betterment of the sport. He was my first sponsor and the only guy who didn't care that I showed up to shoots with jeans on and a spliff in my mouth. He was the first to realize how important team updates are and is still one of the only guys who understands that skiing is about fun, not the hardest trick or the coolest clothes. I know for a fact that everything you guys have said has warmed josh's heart today (his crusty coal sized heart). just thanks for all the support from all of you- and thank you josh for some of the best years of my life.

wow, such a shock about jibij. i remember reading that interview too and thinking how much josh is doing for the sport with jibij. good luck with wherever you end up josh.

Okay, so there's been a ton of talk about raising money to buy Jibij. The question is, will we actually do it? Will a mod put a page together to make this happen? We need to completely focus and commit ourselves to the goal of keeping Jibij running. Jibij is much more than a shop. It is THE shop. It is a gathering place for freeskiers. It is a refuge from pushy ski salesmen. It is on of a kind and it will never be matched if closed down.

We need to do something.

I don't think you understand the costs involved with taking a company public, even if it were possible an IPO would be a horrible idea in this economic climate.
Issuing equity in a company legally is also quite expensive, the only way this would work is if it is essentially a straight donation to Jibij.

thanks for all the dope pics and updates. your attitude, drive, and spirit will be missed peace and good luck

Josh,
I'm stunned but I understand your decision to move on. You ran an awesome shop with an excellent vision focused on fun. I'll miss the shop every time I'm time in Boulder. I can still remember the day we realized Jibij and NS were staying in the same hotel in Vegas during SIA. We laughed like middle school kids that just realized we could throw cherry bombs in the girls' bathroom and get away with it. Immature? Maybe. Hilarious? Yes. Memorable? You know it! Vegas was awesome when Jibij was around.
Best of luck buddy, Rogge

I remember the first time i met josh back in the day at one of the jibij summer camps he put on up at a-basin one spring! it was a great time!! JIBIJ will never be forgoten!

Good luck at what ever you choose to do!

Wow. Thanks for everything man. The only piece of JIBIJ memorabilia I have now is my JIBIJ sticker on my Moment's that I bought from the shop, which you hooked me up with free shipping.

I'm bummed. The amount of dedication and effort you put into making Jibij a world class pro shop was incredible. Good luck with future endeavors Josh.

He was making a joke about April Fools, he was making the idea of you leaving nonsensical. Are you leaving because you are losing money or are you leaving due to a real change in direction. Will you being selling leftover items cheap?

Josh, the sport will miss you. You've run arguably the best shop in the industry, and have contributed a lot to our sport and athletes throughout the years. You'll be missed, and best of luck in future endeavors.

Ben

Josh, way to go large tonight, hopefully you remember the last night of shop debauchery we all will have.

i bought a pair of invaders from them and they came super quick and the whole transaction process was a breeze. a sad day to hear this news. good luck with your future endeavors.

Never bought from Jibij (should have), but the updates were amazing. Everybody give some +k, he's almost at 1,000,000. Now I need a Jibij sticker and shirt.

I remember years ago when my local shop hardly had a clue what twin tips were. They didn't even have the jig for the p12. I called up Jibij because I had heard good things and was stoked about it opening. I bought some AR5s from him and sent him my boot and he mounted them for free.

Classy guy. Blessings.

Best of luck Mr. Bryant - it was a good run for sure. I hope that you will take a giant mug filled with cheap whiskey wherever you may go.
Cheers buddy - thanks for everything.

Never met you Josh, but as a small ski shop owner, I want to say that Jibij set the bar really incredibly high. Your contributions to helping skiers were hugely appreciated, and will be missed. We wish you the best of luck in any and all future endeavors.
