Scrubs was always one of my favorites . Not sure if its on Netflix, but regardless, its a show that you can always come back to and watch.

If you liked the movie Gangs of New York a good TV series just ended that was similar called Copper set in 1860s NYC. HIghly recommended.

The Wire (had one crappy season somewhere in the middle, the rest is dope as fuck. Must watch imo)
Suits (pretty damn good)
Parks and Recreation (skip season 1 entirely, it sucks and you wont miss a single thing... otherwise, pretty funny)
Dexter (he kills people and shit)
Fringe (later seasons kinda suck... first ones are awesome)
Supernatural? (first seasons are pretty good... then it all goes to hell)
Boardwalk Empire (really good but some people find it to be a bit slow)
Sons of Anarchy (I have not watched it yet, on my list... but lots of people say its dope as fuck)
