Be careful this early season on Loveland Pass, a little snow covers rocks and rock fields really well, its really easy to get going fast over a nice grassy section and then come barreling into a rocky area without seeing it coming. Another thought, steep permanent snowfields look really tempting after it snows, but they are the ideal sliding surface for new snow making them very prone to avys in the fall. Sorry if this was obvious. I agree that saint mary's is probs the best bet.
