Good skiing within 1.5 hrs of chicago?

Sunburst is doable in 2 hours form chicago, wilmot in 1.5 and alpine in 1 3/4, there hasn't been much progress in the parks this year at wilmot, last weekend it was meh, and form what I heard, a huge dissapointment today after they took out all of there rails so there were no terrain features today, there is also raging buffalo in algonquin, but I haven't been there yet this year

Progress at wilmot is starting to be a joke. I belive they pulled all the rails and features because remember it was 67 out and rain on monday and tuesday. I'm surprised they even had those runs open. Hopeful when they make more snow over there they will let us build more stuff.

i think im going next saturday, that huge down rail that they had set up last weekend was tons of fun, even if they just had that up or a flat box or something it would be dope

yeah I'm sure they where fun. There is soppesed to be a big air competion Thursday. Hopeful they will have more snow made.

no they have a park crew, when i was there last saturday I saw 2 guys with rakes re-grooming the takeoffs onto the rails in the main park, the ski patrol doesnt reallylike it if you build jumps or jibs on the runs, they usually break them down the minute after they see you building

no wilmot. i think i might need to get a job there next winter on the park crew again. i miss wilmot and all its shenanighans.

fuck the park crew, working in rentals is where it's at. that job was the tits back in the day. i was a junior assistant manager in training for like 3 years. i got to sit in a stool with a ski pole and yell at gapers in line.
