i just got the Sony dcr-trv 80. Its the top of the line 1ccd chip for sony. It works great for skiing but it doesn't have the handle for follow cams like the 3ccd chips do. It also has great still capability, 2.1 mega pixel, with wireless bluetooth technology. Its great for video and photos. If you really want the best go for the 3 ccd chip cameras, but they start at about 2000 dollars.
