Good Ski Colleges

I took a tour of Utah this winter, and it fucking sucks. NO hot girls (imo, it super smoggy almost all the time, the campus is spread out and everybody is the same

I heard a rumor around the forest that Hugo can throw triples and kill a women with a wink. Is this true? I just heard it from the locals of the bush

Wow that story was mangled fast haha. I see as it was told more and more times people changed things up a bit.

I can "only" double actually. And why would I wanna kill women? I can actually just make their clothes drop to the floor with a smile

Oh I see. Sometimes the bush people mix there stories up. Is it true that you have magical powers?

Yes, but i'm not at liberty to discuss the full extent of my powers

Oregon State University just made a brand new campus in Bend, Oregon, technically called OSU Cascades that is the exact same as OSU, same classes, same education but in Bend, a 20 minute drive from Mt. Bachelor. That's what I'm doing next year, it's a lot cheaper right now because it's new and has a partnership with Central Oregon Community College (COCC) so you can take your prerequisite classes at COCC and pay the COCC prices (which are much much cheaper than OSU prices for the same classes) and then take the more advanced classes from OSU teachers. Beautiful campus, very little rain, lots of snow. Can't wait for September. Check it out!

UBC is definitely top of that list, and has the most insane campus on earth.

Dartmouth should be up there too though. One of the best schools in the world not far away from some great Vermont resorts.

a) Its not the best school in the world

b) much farther away then dartmouth

Im a westminster student and pretty stoked on the skiing. All last winter, I was able to juggle a full load of classes, 25 hours a week at work, and skiing 4-5 days a week. Its defenitely awesome to ski off Superior in the morning and hustle into your 10am class on time.

Its also worth noting that it takes serious effort to make this amount of skiing happen, as Im sure it would at any other skiing college. I work my ass off in school during the fall and summer so I can take easy general ed courses during the winter. I work from 3pm until 11pm throughout the winter so i can ski before work or do homework if needed. I also gave up on my social life for the most part this winter. I got drunk MAYBE 4-5 times and didn't see much of my friends if it wasn't on the ski hill. Its all about the trade-offs, but I wouldn't change a thing. I might actually move to cottonwood heights next year just to access skiing a little better.

Feel free to shoot me a PM if you have any other questions about westmini or Utah living in general; I had reconstructive surgery done on my f0ot 4 days ago and now waste a lot of time lurking on NS....

There is none. Different colleges have strengths and weaknesses, and its about which of them work for you. However, Harvard just has this giant reputation of being the best which is why so many people will apply to it just for shits, hence its low acceptance rate. Kind of a catch-22 situation. But in general, Stanford, Yale, Princeton, and in some cases Cal Tech could all be considered to have more intense programs in lots of different subjects than Harvard. Sure its an insanely good college, but comprobable or better educations can definitely be found.

Western Washington University. That's where i'm goin next yea. Right next to baker and not a far drive from whistler. Curriculum is harder to compare to UW and UBC.

Said no one ever...

it is the best school academically that is near any kind of significant mountains.

From what I have seen, UBC & UW are fairly identical in terms of education and size. What UW would have to offer is more of a traditional university experience, parties and such. UBC and Vancouver are awesome for skiing and academics. But the night life is shit.

Dartmouth is a nice school but I live in Maine and don't want to be skiing in the east anymore. Plus I'm like a a/b student and wouldnt get accepted into that shiet.

Stop being such a notorious G.A.P.E.R. just stop posting and leave this site already.

Western State Colorado University

MSU Bozeman

Western Washington

Portland State

what about all of these????

I think you need to do some more research on your ski colleges.

Colby is pretty nice. Some little east coast night skiing within 45 minutes, Sugarloaf in 75, Saddleback in 90, and Sunday River in 105.

why not university of utah? way cheaper than westminster and similar quality of education with all the same percs skiing-wise.

Yeah right! Try the University of Utah, They have good quality of education and also offers cheaper price than the rest of your named universities.

How come every single member hating on me has a Simpsons name/pic?

HA! You're even dumber than your stupid-ass threads let on. Why would a gaper like you care so much about a college close to skiing? So you can ski twice a year and run around in your tall tees, talking about how skiing is your life? Get bent. Eat my shorts. You'll be lucky if any college will have you.

MSU Bozeman hands down. Got rated best college ski town two years ago I believe. Can't blame it though. In summer there is fishing, rafting, hiking, boating, mtn biking and in winter Bridger bowl is 20 minutes away and big sky and moonlight are 45 minutes away. Not to mention the school is awesome and Bozeman has some of the chillest people around. So yeah, go there.

what about vermont guys? my parents said theyd let me go to vermont. is that any good

Good college, some of my friends are going, but irrelevant to me cause I already live in Maine and dont wanna go to school in the east.

How have I gone this long without seeing this gaper's dream of a botched glory hole that OP is trying to pass off as a thread? The fuck is this shit? Can you not find your edgie wedgies OR the searchbar? I could write the US News and Review report on ski colleges with all these threads.
