Good shop to get skis mounted? (i.e. cheaper, denver-ish area)

I've got 3 sets of skis to get mounted/remounted so not wanting to spend to much money, but still want a good job done. and no, I'm not free handing it. haha
 
i would just get them mounted at the littleton Colorado ski and golf they have never messed up any of my skis but when you go ask for the guy with long blond hair thats who usually mounts my skis
 
that's where I've been going. last time though when I got my hellbents mounted it was some guy with a beard who was the most retarded shop worker on the planet, came close to ruining my FKS. I think I know who you're talking about tho, he mounted a pair of chronics I had great and gave me a discount to 15 bucks. Didn't think he still worked there.
 
i just got some skis mounted there a few weeks ago and he helped me but i think he only works nights
 
I know it's a bit out of the way, but I think it's worth it. Colorado Freeride in Breck is pretty cheap and fucking dope. All the guys that work there know what they are doing and can relate to you because they all shred. Last time I took my skis there it was $25 a mount, a decent price for great customer service and awesome people.

 
Didn't they go out of business this past summer? You could always go to Larson's. Family owned and local to the Denver area. I'm pretty sure they would give you a break if you brought in three pairs.
 
why the fuck not? lol like I only see ons of other people with the same setup, given some are p18's... I don't think you really know what you're talking about on that one...

I hate the fact that there arent really any SKI shops in denver that are not giant chainstores.

I've used Christy sports, though not cheap, a good store. Also, my true neighborhood shop is called 'Sports plus' I wanna say they charge 25? They're located in the washington park area, on gaylord st.
 
that place is the best for mounting i have had 2 pairs mounted there and other family members have had about 6 done there
 
Yeah, CO Ski/Golf has messed up my skis twice!!!! Now i use Eskimo Ski Shop (Countyline and Jewell) They were Great!
 
Denver really needs a good local ski shop but Christy's has never fucked up and has always done a good job. If you talk to them enough, they often give you a discount too.
 
As long as you tell the shop what to do, no one will mess up. This means you put a piece of tape where you want them to mount them, they won't mess up. Ski and Golf, or Christy's will be fine.

Completely off topic, but What would you guys be looking for in a ski shop in the Denver metro area? As far as size, and pricing, it would be hard to compete with ski and golf, sports authority, and christy's, so what do you guys think would be the must haves?
 
definitely an atmosphere more geared towards the younger generation. also 20 dollar mounts would be nice.
 
GO TO ESKIMO SKI SHOP

It's at Arapahoe and County Line. The owner is a super legit dude. Getting mounted is $30, which is the same cost as Colorado Ski and Golf if you didn't buy the bindings from CS&G. Trust me on those prices, I just did it today.

Support the smaller shop, you wont regret it.
 
Edgeworks on 8th (or 9th?) and Broadway is the most core local tune-shop in the metro area. They don't have enough space for retail but the tuning and mounting skills are top-notch. They always cut a deal or put you first in line in exchange for beer. Highly recommended.
 
The guy that mounted my skis there was a complete dick. Probably the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. As far as the mounting job they look solid to me I guess I will find that out when I use them, but I would never give them my business again.
 
yea eskimo shop is legit. I hate christy sports. When i went to get my pass there they didnt know what to do and the dude behind the counter was def. higher than i was. I literally had to walk him through the specs for the different passes.
 
Damn I didn't realize it costs that much to mount skis, at 20 bucks a pop, and 10 minutes a pair, thats 120 an hour for unskilled labor. pretty impressive.
 
cmon, they arn't back there mounting ski after ski, it's probably 3-5 a day. And honestly you can't expect someone to do shit for free. "Well the minimum wage is 8 dollars an hour a mount only takes 10 minutes here's $1.75"
 
yeah but if you're nice and they're cool and you can schmooze them with beer then they usually cut you some slack.
 
any of the SSV stores go through hundreds of skis a week during this time of year. guarantee you the tech is slamming through 6-8 pairs an hour.
 
Digging this thread up since I am too in a search to mount skis in Denver. Edgeworks is close to downtown and thats nice but then and Christy Sports have a two day wait time. I could drive to Boulder or Breck to use people I know but that don't work if you are in a hurry.

Still blown away that Denver does not have a core ski shop. Level 1's 3333 store is dope but there isn't mounting or tuning services there. I never here anyone talking about it even though there is a good selection of products. What gives?

Lol no one talks about the 3333 store because there isnt much to talk about... they have like 4 different pairs of skis. I did purchase some 194 New Lifes from them this year though and they hooked it up. If they opened up a full service shop I would be all over it.
