Good question

while I was talking to my snowboarder friend today, he brought up an interesting question

"what can you do on skis that you can't do on a board?"

while i know there are A LOT of things, I can't really think of any right now that don't involve crosses or other such things.

any thoughts?

Def the most important, I board sometimes, and it's fun, but getting stuck on flats/traverses frustrates me so much.

def the fact that we can move on flat without taking are bindings off. stupid snowboarders, they are always saying, "dude, can i borrow a poll?"

Jed Anderson has stomped 3 preztel 3 on a down rail, you're wrong buddy.

A better question would be: what can you do on a snowboard that you can't do on skis?

pretzels can be done on a snowboard (and correct me if I'm wrong, but were "invented" by snowboarders), however the ability to scissor a rail or box makes it MUCH easier.
But the biggest is being able to skate and not have to clip in and out before and after every lift ride.

one of the helgasson brothers..i forget which one.. did a front 270 pretzel 2 out..it might have even been lipslide i cant remember.. alot more is possible on a snowboard than thought...rumour has it travis rice is doing triple corks this season.

All this! Also, think about Zeros. On a board it's just not the same trick and not as hard. Call me nutty but I think a screamin would be pretty tough on a board too.
