Good pow ski that can handle some park laps?

New member
Going on a trip and need to invest in pow skis, but don't want to be limited in scope of riding. Was thinking about the K2 shreditor 102's but wanted second opinions.
 
Well I've heard the YLES don't do too shabby on a few park laps. I'm going up to sun valley next weekend where it's pretty much all groomers. I just got my YLES but haven't skied them yet. So if you haven't bought by next Saturday I'll come back to this thread and do a review
 
K2 hellbents... i have a pair of 184cm, 122mm underfoot. Great jiby twin tip pow ski, does great in park for a pow ski. $165 shipped... PM me if interested
 
The ON3P Kartel 106 is an awesome 1 quiver ski. Fun all over the mountain, wide enough to handle fresh snow, yet narrow enough to still be fun in the park. I know a few of the team was using them as their summer park ski. I highly recommend it.
 
I have some SFBs with Jester Schizos. With the 108 waist I noticed that you do have to put more power into your turns on groomers, but in pow it is effortless. Really nice riding switch and extremely solid built ski. Of course because they are a bigger waist at 108, the entire ski itself is heavier, and the bindings I have on just add to it, so it does have more swing weight than some would prefer. The edges and side wall are beefy enough to occasionally hit the rails without needing to worry about its integrity. On jumps and shit it is extremely solid and would highly recommend. Of course I am a bigger guy (6ft 240lbs) and don't mind the extra weight that comes with the ski, but it is all based on preference. I hope this helps.

YLEs are perfect for what you are looking for. I use them as my daily driver with occasional park laps and they are awesome. The are a little wide for getting really tech on rails but still totally manageable. The flex imo is the perfect flex. It is medium stiff but nice and snappy and poppy with just enough rocker

Yeah they seem like they are gonna rip. I've been buttering around in my house hahaha and I'm impressed with the flex. Only thing I don't like about them, or any fat ski, is that they bang up easier cause they hit each other more.
