Good Parks that are Unknown?

What are some good parks that are unknown? I'm curious because I'm planning a trip with my friends and I want to be in a good park but don't want to wait in line long to get on the lift or drop in.

Haha don't we all. Stay away from mainstream resorts and areas. Most places have decent parks anyways, or just pick a place with fast lifts that moves people up the mountain quickly, that way you won't have to wait long.

junes more known now, fernie is good, east coast whiteface and obviously stratton okemo and mount snow here east

June may be more well known, but it still has no crowds at all. a long line at june is waiting for 5-10 people in front of you in line.

I'm pretty new to park skiing so do any of these places have lessons? Or is that not something I should do.

In Central ontario there is a place called Sir Sams, for being a 200 foot hill it has a damn good terrain park, this park takes up 2 and a half runs, the half run is a rail section with a flat downkink2flat, titanic rail, downkink box, rainbow rail and a booter at the end. Another run has a boader X style track with 4 jumps on it then the last hill has a 'Giant Booter' on it.

Yeah June has no crowds at all. Its sick. Though, if you go on a holiday there might be a line. We went last weekend and there was a huge line at the bottom double lift, it was down the stairs and went off to the left like 50ft.

 
come to my local hill in PA: three jumps, the biggest being a 10 ft table, two rails, and that's just about it. Have fun. :smashes head into wall:

 
Well that totally depends where you are headed but in the northwest Schweitzer and stevens pass aren't crowded and have really sweet parks.

This year I hope to see more kids incorporating newschool with big mountain riding and getting out of the park.-Matt Levintal
 
Our park is alright. Shames Mountain, B.C. We're pretty far out of your way, unless you live in B.C. or Alberta or someplace.

Anyways, we have 15 jibs and 6 hits now, they just made a big hip that's super nice when people don't shave off the soft snow on the landing.

For rails, our 'highlights' are 2 double kinks, the 'ghetto rail' which is a downkink, a long flat bar sloped up a bit, and this new box which is a downkink with a ledge on either side for 'getting creative'... or just for looks.

Biggest hit is maybe 30-40ft, the 'cheesewedge' or whatever they call it is around 7 feet tall. The other jumps are 10-20ft and there's like a 3ft table near the top :P

And when you get tired of the park there's loads of backcountry and some inbounds powder to enjoy.

Come to Titcomb Mountain, we've got ONE 'Big Air' jump with about a 5 ft gap. We have a double kink rail, a 'rainbow' rail, and a battleship rail (which is stickier than duct tape). But dont forget to bring your shovel because you cant hit the double kink rail until theres a jump to it, which the people who run the mountain will never build no matter how many times they say they will.O we also have a handrail that they put in this year but they fucked it up when they made snow on top of it and buried it.

park city has a pretty big name right now, but its not as crowded as u probably think, and the lifties usually let u cut anyways. we have a super fun park and there are 4 different ones u can go to

 
Not entirely sure what you are looking for, but as long as you are ok with just a nice park and nothing else but groomers, it is a decent sized mountain, and has some solid park skiing available with over like 130 terrain features, the best being a 50 or so ft kicker, but check out Bear Mtn. in so cal if you have any intention of that... it is not too well known and is a good solid time.

manning park at hope BC was rated to be the best next to Whistler in BC. Thats saying something because of the dope parks at grouse and seymour.

the seymour rails are all bunched in but they are fun i suppose. seymour is overrated.

 
go to Sugarloaf/USA, Maine. The park is sick. They have a superpipe w/ 22 ft. walls and that longest one in the USA. they have 7 rails, 1 c-rail, 1 s-rail, double kink, down kink, up kink, rainbow rail, and a roller coaster rail. They have 6 big booters. that the gaps are between 20-50 ft. they're gnarly come rp it up in Maine.

I was in the petting zoo, or as I like to call it, the touch me zoo this afternoon. All the animals were retarded. Some lady was breast feeding her baby on a bench nearby, an obvious signal. I sat down uncomfortably close to her and yawned my arm around her shoulder. In her attempt to squirm away, she dropped her baby on the ground. I pretended I was concerned for a second, then I punted it over the fence. She still didn't seem interested in me. Whatever.

 
Marquette, MI is definitely under-rated. last year there was a 65 ft. table, a 50 ft. transfer gap, many other tables, and tons of rails. haven't been there yet this year, but i guess it's even more insane, with tons of new rails (including a quad-kink) and jumps. i'm goin saturday so it's gonna be sick.
