Good One NS..Good One

I'm dead serious when I say that I was about to cry. I don't know what I would do if I had no NS for the whole summer. Fortunately when I got rick roll'd I figured out it was just a joke.
 
man i was shit im having a heart attack but then i remembered its april fools and it was all better.
 
Honestly I dont think it would be so bad for one summer. I wouldnt mind that amount of money and it would be nice to have NS with half the amount of ppl for a wheil. But then after the summer id stop paying cuz thats like what 120 a year for NS? Sorry but no website is worth that not even NS.
 
i'd pay 10 dollars go have ns for a month, easy.

thats what? i hour of work for....30 (days) x 4 (hours a day) = 120 hours of enjoyment

Why fewer people? It's not like anyone gets in your way on here. Plus when there are 100,000 + members, the buy/sell/trade forums are better than ebay.
 
I'm pretty sure there would be lots of kids that wont pay it/ young kids w/out jobs who cant afford it. I think the ski gabber forum would be alot smoother and you could have actual discussions about things instead of the usual "sick" "dope" or "legit" commments you see on almost every thread. But it is true that the buy sell trade forum would take a hit and that would not be good to me cuz Ive gotten alota cheap stuff there.
 
As soon as I saw NS announcement and remembered it was April Fools day I knew something was fishy! lol but her thx for the rick rollness anyways :]

Schmuck actually wrote it, and we all sort of brainstormed on the idea. I had another one, but it was way more convoluted and I didn't get it done in time. Hah the pay thing is funny, and yeah it gets done every year, but this is the first time we've actually officially done it.

I don't think pay would work... the magic of this site is that anyone can come use it. If anything, we could come up with a premium membership-type option. You pay one yearly fee but you get less ads, some NS product, sticker pack, and added features to your account. Don't know what that might be, but if anything thats what we'd do. We'd lose everything if the site ever went full subscription based!

 
I like the idea of a premimum membership where you get a little less non-ski related ads, some cool features...and especially the stickers!! Everyone loves stickers, cant go wrong with that
 
Ditto! These ads make it run so slow I cant even watch embedded videos cuz they dont load quick enough. Also I would dig some stickers!
 
If you had premium accounts that could be a solution to getting "donations" without calling them that, maybe have certain levels that can access donator forum, or have a premium forum or something
 
It'd be cool if there was other stuff too like better email or ringtones or your own webpage... I dunno I just think the idea would be cool.

Make it so that you guys are actually buying something legit from us that you'll be stoked on, but you just pay a decent price for it that does help give back and includes perks around the site.

When I first read that article I was about to have a fit and make a thread saying if they would have let us donate then we wouldn't be in this mess. Ha, but its all good now, and I would pay for a premium membership for sure
