anyone can tip me on any good hardcore bands?

and i mean real hardcore a la refused and raised fist, not

skate-punk or bands like good riddance(no pun intended),

which is not hardcore at all, northern sweden measures!

what´s so funny about peace, love and understanding?

those are the ones I can think of right now, I'm not into pure hardcore much, but stuff like the refused (hardcore type guitars with singing other then screams) is still good. And this is pretty much a rock band but the singer from teh Refused formed The International Noise Conspirisy so you might want to check them out.

No offense but most of the 'hardcore' bands people posted are not really hardcore, thrice? boy sets fire? Rise Against...haha TREE sucks. AFI's old stuff is far more hardcore than Tree can hope to be. Real hardcore, American Nightmare, Skycamefalling, Zao, The Hope Conspiracy, Ten Yard Fight, Panic, Over My Dead Body, Carry On, Shai Hulud, Death By Stereo, Reach The Sky, Bane, In My Eyes, Embrace Today, Overcome, Strongarm, Figure Four, Right Brigade, Shark Attack, Death Threat...most really good hardcore bands are either straightedge or have members who are edge. So just search edge websites to find some great bands. Peace Joe

The Unseen are street punks not hardcore. And sorry to say Tree isnt hardcore either buddy...go listen to some real music. Tree has to be one of the absolute worst boston 'hardcore' bands. You must be scoring some good drugs if you think Tree is good. If you are from Boston the scene is getting a lot better, not back to where it was four or five years ago but we definitely have some great up and coming bands like The Hope Conspiracy, Panic, Tear It Up, Suicide File and Embrace Today.

I don't listen to hardcore shit, but here a list of the shit a Kid in my class listens to and considers HARCORE: DJ Fistfuck, Pissing Razors, and Dying Fetus

They sound pretty hardcore? I couldn't tell you if they are good though! Enjoy I guess?

The unseen wear tons of studs in their jackets, have mohawks and dyed haid and their sound is a lot more punk...more like rancid. No hardcore band would dress like that on stage. A hardcore bands plays a lot of bass driven songs that are fast like punk but lyrics generally are screamed. There are tons of various types of hardcore too its like punk it has it subsets. Posi-core (positive hardcore) preach positive messages, ex: Good Clean Fun. Screamo like emo except all screaming ex: I Hate Myself. Melodic Hardcore (post hardcore) hardcore but a lot more melodic generally have singers that sing in the more traditional sense ex: Recover, Ignite, Rise Against. sXe (straightedge) preach no drinking, smoking, or drug use some are animal rights activists ex: Minor Threat, Ten Yard Fight, Embrace Today. Go to some hardcore band label sites and download stuff from the different bands...thats the quickest easiest way to find what you like. Cause like punk bands sounds vary greatly. Peace Joe

 
basically hardcore is a mix of punk and metal. the singer screams and and it´s just overall bonecrushing hard music.

what i dont understand is you ask for just a certian type of music genre, then you will only listen to those band sand everything else sucks?

man try listening to toher stuff too

OK... all of those bands are fine, but the craziest band you will ever listen to and maybe the best is At the Drive In. The Beastie Boys Signed them to their label and the yreleased a CD last year. One Armed Scissor is all you'll need to listen to to understand what they are about.

It sounds like every guy plays a different song, but somehow it sounds really good!

Craziest band you will ever hear? I highly doubt that, they arent even a hardcore band either...Hed(pe) since when are these kinds of bands referred to as hardcore. Old school hatebreed is good stuff. check out www.xmulletx.com for some good hardcore stuff or www.poisonfree.com that will give you a better idea of what hardcore is. Peace Joe

EXODUS! Some of the most amazing guitar players I've ever heard, no shit. Their drummer is amazing as well.
 
beloved, yesterday's rising, underoath (when they first started out, they were pretty much metal. Way hard sounding, check out 'cries of the past' and 'heart of stone' to get an idea.)

as i lay dying, killswitch engage, death by stereo.. are a few that come to mind.
 
Rise is mny favorite band, but more punk than hardcore.

Everyone's heard of them... but as you can see, we're discussing hardcore bands here... not punk rock, nor are we discussing sum41, and that's for sure.
