Good Digi Cam?

I was in the market for a new digital camera and I was wondering if anyone has had any good/bad experiences with thme? Also is there any brands to stay away from? What should I be looking for in a good camera? How much will a decent one cost? Thanks.

i've used the high end olympus 3030 zoom and its sweet but expensive and seems fragile. personally i like the casio GV-10 and GV-20 waterproof, shock proof and dust proof but they cost a hell of a lot and are hard to find.

sean14456, what type of dv camera are you using? im guessing on this, but you seem to sound like you have one you like..and thanks for the other info whoever left it.

 
well i have a VX2000 which is amazing, but its being repaired right now, i broke the ribbon cable AGAIN. i also have a canon zr20 which is amazing for the 500 bucks it cost me. pretty good quality, havent had a bad experiance with it yet

a vx2000? i thought he said still? if your looking for a still digi cam don't get nething under 3 mp. only buy nikon or olympus, stay away from kodak, all they can make are disposable cameras. I have a coolpix 885, i wished I had gotten the 995. the 885 still tkaes excelent pics and is a real good camera, the entire coolpix line is actually great.
