Good deeds

Kinda Long

This past weekend I took a day to try out my new Fujatives. First run, I am screwing around with how flexy these skis are and I lose my balance, fall and break my pole about an 2 inches above the basket. These poles were busted up as it was, but it was just annoying. I skied with one short and one long cause I just could not get use to the no poles while being on a new pair of skis as it is. Later, I go in for lunch and this mountain has a free ski check so I give the guy my skis and busted poles. The guy tells me they wont let me ski with the busted pole cause it does not have a basket, but tells me to hold on. He goes, grabs me rental poles and tells me to just paint them when I go home. I was gonna try to grab some rental poles anyway if they wouldn't let me ski, but for a worker to go get them for me was just awesome. I wanted to tip him, but if they get caught taking tips they get fired. Anyway, later I am on my last run through the park and I find a 30 GB Ipod in the snow and it was on. I thought this was awesome cause me and my brother have competitions on finding stuff on trails, before this the best thing was a rental snowboard (and yes its in my basement). Anyway, after I pick it up, I am thinking how awesome this is, but I soon feel guilty about the fact that it could belong to someone that is not a spoiled little brat. So I do the unthinkable, with a little coaxing from my girlfriend of course, and turn it in to lost and found.

don't worry man. I do that stuff all the time. my friends always find shit and I convince them to put it in the lost and found

except for this one item which will not ever be mentioned.

you sound coo. With your physics skill and my knowledge of science in general we can turn the wheels of history.

i didnt read what u said only the title and the only thing i can think about is that old show on nick 101 good deeds or something where that kid turns into a dog and he needs 101 good deeds to go back to a kid and he never goes back worst kid show ever no lesson learned

i'm sorry, but if you need coaxing to turn in a 30g iPod to the lost and found, you're a douche. think about if you lost your iPod... all i know is that if it were me and i found an iPod (or anything, really) i'd go straight to the lost and found. i've found a couple cell phones, a pair of gloves, and some goggles over the years and turned everything into the lost and found. it isn't mine, it's someone else's, and they're likely freaking out over it, so do them a favor and do what you can to get it back to them. it's the RIGHT THING TO DO.

congrats man dosent it make you feel good.

2 weekends ago up snowboarding, these asians were stuck in the parking lot pealling out. two guys were trying to push them out but couldent do it. so i came in and with a little effert we got the car out of the snow and he drove away. I felt good about myself for awile!

You are calling me a douche cause I said I needed a little coaxing? Sorry I am not the complete angel you are and run straight to the first office I saw. There was a time I thought about keeping it, but in the end I decided to do the right thing, or did you miss that part?

thats good man, i would of done the same thing. i just think if i lost my ipod i would be pissed if some fucker just pocketed it.

Yea, when I got home I was looking up online about stolen Ipods and I found out that less than %2 of lost Ipods were actually returned. This includes theft as well, and they are obviously not going to return it.

I found someones keys on the mountain the other day and took them to the office. I felt good about myself.

I don't know how some of you guys could find and iPod and just keep it. I could see if you found like a $20 or something, but someones iPod? Thats just kinda low. I'd def regret keeping something like that.

i walked out of a gas station one time forgetting to pay for food. i went back in and paid. i respect the honesty fa real. good man.

thats good!

someone found my missing cell phone in the snow a few weeks ago and returned it to the lost and found. and i was re united with it... which is excellent after being worried about losing your cell phone

i'm no angel, but i respect people's shit. that's a pretty elementary concept. and i wouldn't "run straight to the first office i saw"... i know right where the lost and found is at my hill and would have taken it straight there. i work at Nub's Nob and have literally had people thank me for returning something of theirs to lost and found well over a week after i returned it when they saw me running a lift or something- something like that is likely valuable to whomever it belonged to and they'll likely be relieved as hell to have it back. i can promise that if you met me, one of the first things you'd think was "wow, he's an asshole", but if you lost something like that and i found it, you could rest assured you get it back. so yeah, you're a douche for not automatically turning it in. that's someone else's shit that they misplaced- it isn't yours, you have no right to it unless it's absolutely obvious there's no way to get it back to them. i got the part that you did the right thing- after someone told you to. that kinda basic shit ought to be automatic. wtf ever happened to respecting other people's stuff?

your being a crazy fuck calm down he did turn it in why you hating. So he thought about keeping it oh my god give him a break cry me a fucking river bitch boy

or how happy the person that runs Lost and Found will be with their new Ipod (ha), hopefully not the later though

the only bad thing is that of all the people at the ski hill i'm sure all of them would like a new 30 gig ipod that they cough cough "dropped"

At bobs soem kid droped 100 dollers and i dident realize it till later so i picked it up and brought it back to him and it was a kid that lives a few houses down.

my friend found an ipod nano outside of a best buy/ couple other stores. didnt no what to do with it and it looked like it might have come from the car next to us so we put it on their winshield. i just couldnt bring myself to keep it and he already has an ipod. shit i hope it did belong to that car next to us or ill be pissed. haaha
