Can anyone name off some good death metal bands? I mean like, the most brutal fucking stuff you know of. Like, fastest, heaviest, gut-wrenching stuff you know of. And keep in mind I said Death Metal, not metalcore, not grindcore, not black metal, not power metal (although death metal with some power metal influences is acceptable), not hardcore, Death Metal.

Obviously coming to Newschoolers with this question was a mistake. I figured I'd get a couple responses joking that there was no such thing as good death metal, but I didn't think anyone as dimwitted as you would respond. Nice try there. I haven't been accused of slitting my wrists since, jeez, I think it was maybe 6th grade? And frankly, I don't give a shit about how massive your itunes library is, if mines smaller, it's probably just cause I don't put garbage like Lamb of God on there. If you don't like it, why would you have it on there anyways?
 
no, i was tryin to make the point that i have lots of music. i dont have just 20 cd's. those are just some of the bands i found when i did a quick search.
 
i've listened to a few bands this kid showed me, Nile and Mortician. Mortician is prob what your looking for their real fucked up.

I dont know all the metal classifications but here are some of my favorite metal bands:

only a small bit of that is deathmetal. megadeth, exodus, and lamb of god are thrash/hardcore...kamelot and iced earth are powermetal (completely different) and dream theatre is some aweful experimental metal which fails in my mind
 
I dunno if it really fits what you're looking for but I love Between the Buried and Me, it's not that heavy and brutal though.

If you want real brutal go with Waking The Cadaver haha.
