i wouldnt ever buy an ipod off ebay unless it came with an extended warranty and it had proof that it did. cause of the batteries and harddrives failing...

 
i got my dad a brand new 4th gen 20 gig off ebay two weeks ago for 170..and i got it and everything is perfect..soo i would keep looking..plus with all the new ones coming out..they will probably get cheaper by the weeks

that is definatly a 3rd gen because of the position of the buttons. the 1st gen was super fat and had buttons going around the outside of the wheel which wasn't a touch wheel, it was a click wheel.

and yes, they did make 10 and 15gb ipods. i have a 10gb.
