in the spirit of the dane cook post...

i'm going on a trip in 2 weeks and i'll be gone for a month, it would be good to have a decent number of standup albums on the ipod for when i need a change of pace or simply to pass the travelling time

i have cooks latest and last albums, eddie murphys dilirious, jim gaffigans comedy central stand up, some george carlin and then christ rock.

i prefer actual stand up stuff to studio recorded stuff (like adam sandler)

recommendations...?

mitch hedberg (sp?) and brian reagan

George Carlin is good....ummm I have a bunch of comedy central presents stuff too... Dane Cook is still my favorite.

-at least you went down naked-

'If brain power was gas you couldn't power a toy motorcycle around a penny.' Phrosty

Ian, I'm sure you've heard of Bill Hicks. If not, get some of that--pretty funny and very intelligent.

Forgot about Henry Rollins. Aggression at its best.

Bill Hicks is good, just not my thing. But David Cross on the other hand. Amazing, Amazing. Shut up, you fucking baby! is such a great album.

Repping The DFP.

i agree. mitch Hedberg and Brian Reagan in that order

"I'm just gonna swing up around that boat there. There's sexy people up there."

Kevin Gadra: "Tim be on the lookout for the school, it has white columns"

Me: "Those are some lame ass columns"

Kevin Gadra: "What were you expecting, the fucking White House?"

Get the Dave Attel - Skanks for the Memories cd. I have one of the recent Dane Cook cds and the Dave Attel cd blows it away.

It's a stand up show from Colorado. It's pretty much the stand up you see on Comedy Central, except he can talk like he normally would...pretty much swears a lot.

Henry Rollins is good, also. Although, I'm not so sure how I feel about the Think Tank cd. It was pretty much just him pissed...wasn't that funny.

"You know, I'm sick of following my dreams man. I'm just gonna ask them where they're going, and hook up with them later."

R.I.P. Mitch Hedberg

mitch hedberg-mitch all together

Wow! Denis leary does stand up?

PABLO FRANSISCO! "Maria.......Maria? MARIA! POURQUE!?!?!?!?"

"In the city..you must fight to survive..

He sold tortillas on the corner..

The mob wanted in on the action *THUMP* 'I don't know who this guy is but I want him and his tortillas...DEAD.

He had one chance, and his chance was to fight back...ARNOLD SWARCEHNGGER.

'Listen to mee, these arre myy tortillaass and I'm noot going to leave out of heere. You have to get out they arree tryying to kiil youu.'

ONE MAN. ONE SOLUTION. Arnold Schwarhenegger in....

LITTLE TORTILLA MAN."

That's the best finish of a gig I've ever heard, tops even Delirious and Raw.

Hummingbird style: 70 times in one second.

Does Crichton smoke? Does a bear shit in the woods? -Rex

Ian, I'm assuming you already have David Cross but I second that one...

Commander of the Silent Army

Viva La Resistance!

Yeah man... Denis Leary's "No cure for cancer"

It's so fucking funny. He used to be really raw before he started acting in chick flicks.

Also, second album "Lock and load" is really funny too.

The OC sold out emo.

Mitch hedberg is the funniest man dead or alive.
