Good cars to bum in?

gmc yukon xl or a chevy suburban. my friend has one and its quite roomy. reliable, 4wd, can go through anything. has a hammock and a small wood stove with a chimney out the roof, he had to install a fan though to make sure no fumes built up from burning logs and it was pretty complicated. and he has to charge up the battery secretely in the lodge every 2 days or so

I know a guy who bought a school bus! He was moving to Montana and found out that it was cheaper to buy a school bus than to rent a moving truck. I wish I had a school bus! But I would feel so unsafe sleeping in it, it has to be pretty easy to get in. And you could never get parking.

was so confused for a second. Read the title and OP as "good cars to burn in?" and I'm like who the fuck buys a car based on if its good to burn in, must be a serious stoner?

id say a van or atruck with one of thoes campers that go in bed of it

embed fail. but get a old truck with an old one of these baby's and you got your self a house. probably would be cheap too. also you can bring girls to it

If the mountain you're staying at has employee housing, park your vehicle right next to it/their parking spots... they park in the same spot for weeks/months at a time so it's a lot less obvious that you're not supposed to be there.

But really... any midsized SUV or station wagon. Impreza outback is way too small, unless you're like 4' tall. Find something that has back seats that pretty much lay flat at a length of something slightly bigger than your height. I drive a Hyundai Santa Fe and I've slept in it quite a few times. Get yourself a nice sleeping bag and a 4" thick microcell foam pad. Stay away from air mattresses... they suck heat out of you.

One of the biggest things to worry about is drying your gear out. Damp air will be cold and it will suck pretty hard putting your cold, wet gear in the morning. Your stuff will never dry with stagnant air.

A mid-late 1990s Chev Blazer would be good I'd think. I drive a 98 blazer and its perfect. The rear seats fold down and you could easily fit a mattress/sleeping bags in the back. Easily sleeps 2 people if you have your gear on a roof rack. 4X4 and really reliable. Pretty common, cheap vehicles to come across.

I slept in my Impreza Sport awhile ago, and it was comfortable.

I bought it with the intentions of being able to sleep and bum in it.

Plenty of space, the back of the rear seats make good pillows. If you get a box, your ski stuff can go in there.

Or an Outback, just a little longer than the Impreza Sport. So more room..

Or just an Astro van, plenty of room for everything

CAPS TO ATTRACT YOU ATTENTION. chev astros are alright, awd is better but they are hard on gas, a good van to get is a 2nd gen dodge caravan. SUPER FUCKING RELIABLE, the chevs can be pretty shitty. my caravan got about 27-30mpg driving the speed limit. what I did was take the back seat that folds down forward and put it to the middle spot, build a wood platform behind that was leve with the seat back folded down. the beauty of this was I could flip the seat up and sit 4 people comfortably or set my laptop up between the front seats and watch movies. when the seat was flipped down I had a battery powered inflatable air matress (that I always wanted to wire in direct and have a switch but was too lazy) it was super comfortable and roomy, I could fit soooo much stuff under the back platform and its all out of site(like skis and other valuables). so op, do this, dodge caravans are cheap, reliable, parts readily available and with winter tires, they fucking rule in snow. /thread // rant. about how much I loved my caravan

oh and one more thing, if you do look at caravans, make saure its a grand caravan, the extra length is needed for the bed AND make sure its a 3.3L v6, the 3.0L engines are garbage

i just scrolled to the bottom so i didnt see if anybody else thought this too but,

i thought it said "burn" in not "bum" in (see how the "m" could be an "r" next to an "n"?) and thought you were making a thread about which car was best to get high in. so yea...
