Good bootfitter in burlington/upstate NY??

Live in upstate NY and need new boots bad, I have all the PSIA prodeals online but need to get fitted first its been awhile. any recs?

What size boots do you need? If you’re in Burlington go to alpine shop the boot fitters will get you right for sure

PJ at Race Stock Sports in Waterbury is the only professional boot fitter I've been able to find. He's truly the best, the rest are all "average" if I'm trying to be nice.

Richard Hill at Sports Page in Queensbury, NY. I don’t have much to compare to bc i’ve been going there my whole life but they’ve always been professional and got me in proper fitting boots. This guy really knows what he’s doing when it comes to boot fitting and even anatomy. Any work you need done on boots you purchase from them is free and the most any boot mods will cost you with your own boots is $50.

Hi adventure near Schenectady is pretty great, got boots from them years ago and they really knew their stuff. I have some gnarly dogs and tons of joint issues, and they got me set up. all mods, molding, punching etc were free with purchase

What's your issue with them?

The store sucks because it’s just really expensive shit but the shop does a great job I think

i actually found that the service shop was just a fucking joke, they wouldn’t mount my cast system because they didn’t believe that the afd that cast provided was GW when on the bottom of the plate it just said GW, on top of that i had to go to the shop to see what was up with my skis since they hadn’t called me for two weeks, idk also just the way that the guy at the shop was explaining it to me, he was def not the guy who worked on the skis which fucking sucks because this person had no idea what the issue was, but anyways the guy explaining it to me started off by saying the tech at ski rack is his brother in law so immediately it’s just like don’t tell us we’re wrong you’re wrong and i didn’t fuck with that attitude, also went to get boot fitted earlier this year and the service was a fucking joke, i just hit a another shop

Unrelated to boot fitting, but one of my friends used to work there and she was told to tell customers that 27.5 bike tires would fit on 29er wheels, so I'm skeptical of the place

Sports Page is the shit. Miss going to them when I used to live in upstate NY.

On a long enough timeline, the level of service a single shop offers will assuredly have its highs and lows but I think in this instance I would wager that a big misunderstanding occurred between tube vs. tire. Skirack is a Top-100 bike shop in the USA and often consults for brands like Specialized (which officially offer tubes that fit both sizes), Santa Cruz, etc. I really don't see how the management could honestly say that a 27.5 tire fits on a 29 rim. I would bet that someone misspoke or misheard.

Bummer for sure.
