ok, if you like fantasy read The Dark Tower books by stephen king. i hate fantasy, but i can get enough of these books.

if you want some easy but extremely funny reads check out Tourist Season by Carl Hiaasen. you can go wrong w. hiaasen, and this is his best.

if you want thought provoking books, definately Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. best book ive ever read. A Clockwork Orange by Anothony Burgess is brilliant as well. the movie was good (kubric is a genius) but this blows it out of the water

I'm glad someone mention Carl Hiaasen (sp). His books are so well written and so funny. I suggest you pick up anyone of those.

of mice and men by steinbeck is good and short. it'll take maybe 3 days to finish it. i'm currently reading the dharma bums by kerouac, it's more interesting than On The Road, that book is very boring at certain parts. like someone said before, a separate peace is also a good read, that'll take a short time to read too. A excellent biography is Down the Highway: The Life and Times of Bob Dylan.
