Good books to read.

Hatchet was great. I read it when I was in like 6th grade, easy read, very entertaining, and goes fast. You could do it in a day or two. Great book

Yeah, It's pretty short, but really entertaining. I read it recently in about 4-5 hours, so it's really good for a flight or long-ish car ride.

I've read all the books that have to deal with that story. He wrote several others such as Brian's winter which is what would of happened if brian had stayed through winter, they are all really good and super easy reads.

Way of a peaceful warrior is a must. book definitely makes you think of all the things you do on a daily basis and just generally how you live you life.
Gary Paulsen books are incredible, like everything written by him.
Louis Lamour books are a good novel to read, but once you read one you've pretty much read all of them.
for dragons and mythology i'd have to say the eragon series, really creative and fantastical but it is a teen book.
check out James Rollins books, that author will keep you turning pages long into the night.
i would suggest harry potter books but come on, who hasn't read them?

I just picked up "The Forever War" the other day its pretty damn good. Its pretty much about this war with an alien race far across the galaxy, that the humans dont really have any knowledge about(the aliens). The book centers on a soldier sent off to fight the aliens, but instead of focusing on the wrath of interstellar war, focuses on relativity. While the soldier fights for maybe like 5 years, the earth has aged centuries because of the space travel, so he comes back to a completely strange place.

the glass castle !its a memoir written by this girl whose parentswere crazy irresponsible, and she had to go through allthis hilarious, horrible stuff growing up.
